May be small mistake from my site.
I am getting groundnut oil at ₹120 nowadays ,
Very cheap. Rice brand available at this rate . Not sunflower oil
which city bro?
please change your cooking oil/ghee every six months
go for other brands
change oilseed base
Mustard/soya/rice brain/
changes based on plant/ milk based ghee
interesting. is there any empirical proof 🧮 for this bro?
all these trends come and go thanks to university of whatsapp 😒
they will give reason blah blah. but what is the efficacy!
in the middle i heard have little olive oil. then it became have only olive oil. they for indians they said no need to have olive oil 😮
they started saying don’t use re heated oil. when i gave this suggestion to my family members they told me are you mad or what 😂 we use reheated oil (of course to reasonable extent) since generations!
Yeah nah. Despite the massive increase in price still using Engine mustard oil. Previous price was around 125, now the same is 165.
Mustard Seed prices have shot up
I have been using Patanjali Mustard Oil for many months now, even after the price hike. Earlier it was Rs 125 per 1 ltr pouch but now its Rs 144.
Since DMart is close by, I usually get 5 Ltrs oil once a month from there and repeat the same thing next month. Previously I used to use Rice Bran Oil.
Hike dint really matter much even now…I buy same fortune 5ltr pack… After all discount… It comes arnd 500 nly …. FK supermart buying grocery fr 2k every month at 1k using diff codes plus 5-6 one rupee or 19rs items as well
can you advise which coupons will reduce to 1k bro ? I know Grocery pass which may give Rs100 to 150 benefit and 20SC may givge another 100. what makes another 750 off bro ?
Mrp of oil has increased,
Freedom mrp was 120-130 and now it is 170
No compromise with oil, life is more precious than money.
I support price increase as it supports farmers! Now starts ..
On serious note we have to be prepared for these kind of hikes so better to think of ways to earn more than saving little
I too support the farmers..
Btw.. I have reduced intake of oil a lot.. I hope farmers are not affected
I generally used Borges or disano canola oil and dhara or patanjali mustard oil. Use to get it from pantry. I am now thinking to switch to cold pressed mustard oil which is around 200/litre. Price does not affect me as 5l of both is enough for 6-8 months. Don’t compromise on health for few buck otherwise you will be finding coupons for online pharmacy. Avoid palm oil, soya bean oil, dalda at all cost.
For your kind info Palm oil used in chips and all chivdas etc. Also 70-80% palm oil used in sunflower oil and other oils etc also.
i mostly buy the cheapest sunflower oil at time of purchase from jiomart…mostly it is of goodlife…reliance own brand
Switched to Navratan oil
wait a minute you guys are using oil … 😂
@iamshashikant we are trying to reduce oil intake by 15-20% to negate oil price hike.
try to do that consciously. example tell mother / wife / whoever cooks to cook poori only once a month instead of once a week.
this is at we fulfill both savings 💴 and health ♥️
Don’t eat puris. Hardly have since 1 yr
I have another suggestion- My family likes the old ways better. My mother doesn’t trust these packed mustard oils not even patanjali. So father buys 30kg-50kg mustard from whole sale shop and mother does that Soup fatkao🤣 for getting dirt out. I take it to Aata-chakki(floor mill) he also have one machine for mustard →to oil.
So for approx 2-2.5kgmustard gives 1L oil.
I take the oil and sell the remainings of mustard after extracting oil to mill owner. Remainings of mustard is good for cattles I guess. So instead of taking money from me for extracting oil from mustard he give me money because remaining mustard is more costlier than the price he requires for doing this.
So by this process Oil cost 50% lesser and 100% pure.
ps – I earn enough to buy them olive oil for food but they do all this every year.
What is that machine to do oil?
Majboori me khridna parta hai. I shop edible oils from Amazon pantry on every month if SBI 10% card discount available.
I don’t think it is a big deal for me, hardly 10-20 rupees difference
can’t you rich guys buy costly dal / rice / oil to support our farmers ? don’t be so cheap .
you guys can change mobile every year ( 5G , 16GB , poco , rico what not ) .
Costly clothes / cars / bikes … fraking people are even buying roombas and dishwashers .
I use mix type of oil.
Monthly 3 litres – Groundnut, Sunflower, Ricebran
Earlier used to have only Groundnut.
I guess it’s healthier to use variety of oils.
Cheaper too.
Buy via supr daily. 30% off
Super daily have various issues right
15-20 years back only groundnut oil was ruling the market. Now many varieties came in the market. But never buy cheap groundnut oil. when seeds itself costs above 100rs per kg. Some brands are selling 1 liter oil in 120-140 range.. Once we used to take seeds to mill and extracting oil. Now production cost, less availability of water made us to stop that habit.
Fortune selling 190 earlier it was 170 mrp
We always used various Oils. We reduced consumption of Sunflower oil and Increased consumption of Desi Ghee and Groundnut Oil.
When I cook , I steam and boil most of the stuff. And then drizzle oil on top just to satisfy mom.
Deep fry is out of menu.
Use mostly those which r grown in your region and season. Use cow/buffalo ghee. A2 cow ghee is great but costly. For deep frying and reusing multiple times use ghee. For Normal Temperature cooking use cold pressed oils available in that particular season in your region.
But wait a sec, my grandpa is 80 years old without any heart diseases , he used dalda for 2 decades, palm oil, refined oils for most of his life. But how the hell is he doing okay??
No rocket science, just work hard for atleast 1 hour a day and your body can digest even spoil food, we r just making it weak with all these overthinking, stress and laziness!
So just excercise and must use ghee, refined oils with a smiling face.
A2 is beyond my reach 2-3k ka ghee
Majboori saahab have to buy overpriced oil. Thanks to coupons and offers dont feel the price pinch that much.
