Emergency medicines which should always be present at home

I saw that some of my medical box meds expired. So wanted to ask which are some meds which should always be at home?

I was thinking Diclomol, Metrogyl, Disprin, Dolo 650, Citrezine. Are these good? Anything I am missing?

@bikidas2060 and others can perhaps help here.

One word of caution please don't abuse Flagyl aka Metronidazole. Some people abuse O2/Brakke aka Ofloxacin 200 and Ornidazole 500. These meds are antibiotics. They come with severe side-effects e.g. detachment of retina (Flagyl). And one need to complete the course of them usually 5 days. When I had a tiny pimple in the perianal region I was advised to take Flagyl 3 times a day for 5 days. I had developed blurry vision, vertigo etc. Usually people don't seek advice of a doctor and complete the course of the medication. As a result microbes in us become antibiotics resistant for those drugs. It's bad.

I have seen some people abuse drugs like Linezolid which is considered as a drug of last resort. Next time you have an episode of diarrhea please go to the nearest govt hospital for advice on which meds to take. They ll properly advice you which antibiotics to take. Always complete the course.

In fact if used correctly ethanol has many medicinal properties.

Specially as a disinfectant.

Why are people mentioning brands and not the medicine/drug in them? Edit out all the posts to mention the medicine. e.g. Paracetamol, not "Dolo" or "Crocin".

Yes. I was wondering the same. Why not use the generic names instead of brand names? Will be easier for people.

I am all hearts for alternative medicine but plain lies propagated by videos like this should not be tolerated.

No natural things can unclog a clogged artery. If it happens something disastrous thing is waiting. 😔They sure can prevent but once damage is done it's done.

Every other person is suggesting so many medicines which should NEVER be taken without consulting a doctor.

This is happening everywhere online & offline. Though we can't stop this menace but at least try not to encourage this.

And see if you can make some rule against such practices as you have rules against many other things.

I understand that OP had good intentions of knowing about few medicines but he/she or anyone can ask their doctor for such info.
Thank you!

What OP seeks is for emergency situations or when not taking medicines in time may outweigh the risks associated with it. Ultimately your health is your responsibility and filtering the information that you receive is your responsibility. An advice of caution however added in Dealwiki
