My Slightly Frustrating experience with PayTM

After much research and thought, I placed order for laptop HP PAVILION 15-P204TX on paytm. I placed the order on Friday 19 June 6.30 PM. But the order got acknowledged only on Monday 22 June. The seller’s name is Spark Technologies. After the order getting acknowledged I received the confirmation mail on 23 June. On the morning of 25 June I got SMS from paytm saying that the seller was unable to ship my order. I got panicked as I had Paid huge amount of 47500 as COD was not available. After this I frequently contacted paytm through e mail on there care address. Which is utterly useless, it just gives u pre typed system response. After much delay the order finally shipped on 27 June and I got it on 30 June. Even the courier selected – xpressbees was not on time hence delaying my order. Overall the experience was not good and I would recommend paytm only if you are getting a much better deal as compared to other sites.

I bought the same speaker set about 9 months ago for 3600 from paytm.Seller FUTURINE. Great speaker system for the price I Paid. And I checked fee days back when CA50 code working ..it was coming for around 3250. Didn’t remember seller name though.

Did anyone bought these Puma flip flops from paytm seller ’ Open Cloud Enterprises’

2. Chicco Musical Train from BUTTERFLY (Seller)
Sadly, both recd. in pathetic condition. Looked old & used/secondhand with toy boxes in tatters
held together by tape. Could not use for gifting for which I ordered.

Worse, Paytm is saying no reverse pickup from my pin code to sellers’ so I need to ‘courier on my own’

Update – Received the cashback of Rs.6000 as was promised by PayTM on the purchase of HP Laptop. I used coupon code LAP6K for cashback offer. And yes they credit the cashback only after the return period of your laptop is over. In my case i received my order on 30 June so my cashback amount was credited to my wallet after 15 days, on 16 July 2015.

@rajan10kumthekar805 Was it an EMI payment because I faced the same issue when I made payment through EMI wherein CB was done only after return period (15 days) and it was for clothes!

EDIT: So far,have had only good experience with paytm having purchased nearly 100 items- is my no1 preferred site for shopping

Yes it was an EMI transaction but I think they have started this cashback after rerun period method due to some incidents where buyers got the cashback and due to some faults in products they returned the original product. In this way they got the cashback of the original value of product in addition to the cashback by coupon code.
