Hi Everyone, It all started a year back, and we were working on How we can evolve Ref - https://www.desidime.com/forums/hot-deals-onlin... Today we have taken a big step, and now we moving out of earning only 20 Dimes per front page deal. We have been working on so many permutations and combinations, as how the structure should be and how to develop a better environment for Dimers where we can highlight good deals and still award dimers who are putting in their effort in finding best deals. Over the time we have introduced hotness for deals by setting different parameters in the algorithm, and that has displayed that community is mature enough to decide which deal is good and which isn't. What has changed The way Dimers will earn Dimes. From Today onwards admin team will not promote any FPD and now system will decide what needs to be highlighted on homepage, depending upon the deal hotness and its activity. Now that we are removing 20 Dimes per front page deal. System is going to evaluate deals on the basis on hotness and many other algorithm. And accordingly Dimes will be allocated. It means a good deal can earn upto 200 Dimes and a not so good deal may give you less than 1 Dime also. Why Dimes are Not reflecting in my account From Today onwards for every deals shared today, dimers will earn dime after 5 days for same deal. Today its 27th Nov 2018. Dimes for all deals shared today will reflect in your account 2nd Dec 2018. Why are we doing this, is because every deal which is shared takes some time to earn hotness. And after closely evaluating deals and its hotness over last few months, we have decided that 5 days is enough for a deal and its life cycle. So During that time frame, whatever hotness a deal earns and depending upon other factors, Dimes for all such deals will be accumulated and it will be credited by system on 5th Day. So Please note from 27th - 2nd Dec there wont be increase in Dimes(via Deals) in anyones account. And it will start reflecting post 2nd Dec. Where are My Past FPD's Count Dont worry, we have all that data saved and it will continue to display under your profile page. New badges We have also introduced new activity badges. Depending upon Number of deals with hotness, you will be able to earn those badges. Starting from Beacon--Flame--Blaze and goes upto inferno--supernova. We will keep you posted on other new features which we will be introducing.

Great changes. I was thinking the same. (Example : 1000+ hotness level in 1 day should be eligible for FPD)
System should decide FPD.
This change will definitely reduce biasness.

So in New Era
1. No more incentive of 2k flat on reaching 100 FPD’s (don’t know if any other provision is made). I know incentive is now hotness dependent and may fetch more than Rs.20 But nothing compares Rs.2000 on reaching 100 FPD’s
2. May not get even Rs.1 for a deal post
3. Hotness dependency means if you have channel addition, friends or moderators vote, and plenty outbound clicks or else it will be cool enough to freeze.
4. Hotness will keep growing for many deals even it is out of stock in a minute smile , leaving DD users a false notion.
5. Good deals will remain un-noticed by common DD users who relied on FPD’s for their purchase
6. How much hotness=How many dimes which can a deal poster could collect, is not transparent?
7. Head line deals will get more advantage than product deals even if it won’t fetch any fortune to the buyers.
8. No instant reward means, wait for many days and yet won’t be knowing how much you received as a deal poster for a particular post.
9. Even news will become hot deals smile

@bumblefoot, please look into this idea of post without dimer name on larger user interest. In addition if you really think it can reduce Desidime reputation then there should be two different pages based anonymity and seniority which gives true justice both to good posts and senior posts.

Till today, out of 20 FPDs hardly 1 I used, rest all either useless or unworthy deals. One dimer will place a product at cheapest rate yet that product no one will order. Here the so called senior dimer will get his post FPD immediately because of his reputation, following or anything you say. In the same way if a newbie is posted one useful post and even though it’s a FPD material it never becomes FPD or based on your hotness it may become FPD only after the deal gets expired. There should be a way to find whether a post is worth or not and that too through system which is unbiased.
