GPay convenience fee for recharge
Hey,
I just did a jio prepaid recharge of 749 on GPay and was charged 3 rupees convenience fee. I did not know that GPay charges convenience fee, So I just wanted to let everyone know.
Edit: I have done some testing and it looks like theĀ convenience fees are like this:
For recharge amounts of 1 to 100, there is noĀ convenience fee,Ā
For recharge of 101 to 200 it's 1 rupeeĀ convenience fee,Ā
For 201 to 300 it's 2 rupees,
and for 301 and above, the maximumĀ convenience fee is 3 rupees.

Gave good cashback in the beginning. Btw who use 3rd party sites like gpay for recharge. No real benefits other than Airtel thanks app, where one can get 25% cashback.Ā

It shows for me even before completing the transaction. The recharge amount needs to be above 100 rupees. If it's still not showing for you, then maybe they are still rolling it out slowly,

No charges shown on app before making any recharge on Google pay on my side. Last recharge on 16 nov of 50 no charges there.
