I’ve been researching furnuture online and came across some good deals on this website https://www.modwayfurn...in.
Modway seems to be an international brand hosted here https://www.mod...m/ and the logos used on indian website are same.
Something looks fishy to me about this
The prices are pretty cheap
The only payment options available are UPI QR and instamojo (which futher increases doubt)
The website strongly asks users to transact through UPI, else charges additional 23%.
For now, I have not made any payment.
Can anyone give reviews/suggest what to do here? Any way to verify if the website is genuine or not.
I ordered for 33000… How I wish I had seen this forum before sending the money.
Now after 4 days, I’m asking them for the delivery date, and the person is not answering.
Though it’s wrong to take a brand’s name and sell, but after reading all this, honestly, I don’t care if it’s a real modway brand or not, I just hope they deliver the furniture.

I have also ordered sofa @ ₹ 10300, please guide what to do. Can complaining on cybercrime result in getting back the money.
I think we should post this on our social media circle like FB, Youtube, LinkedIn, etc. so that everyone can aware of this fraud and tag the information technology minister of India with the post so that it could reach the right place.

If you are unable to lodge a complaint on the cyber crime web page for whstsoever reasons see the contacts in the repective states and email to these contacts. I reported an email complaint today. I ordered on 05/03 they have not been replying for any mails sent. Whstsapp has blocked my number.

Please do not purchase Modway Furniture India, its fake website. I lost 38K transferred on 14th of March. They supposed to deliver the items today 27th of March. No response from them. Their WhatsApp is closed.
Do not buy from this below website, it’s fraud, do not loose your hard earned money.

The website is as fake as the newbies who just created accounts to comment that they were looted by the website. Their accounts are created on the same day they commented. Were all of them waiting for OP to post the thread to comment? Coincidence I doubt?
I have not opened the website but going through the comments by all the newbies it seems Same language, same manners and these newbies even know how to tag someone? One person created multiple accounts and commented?
This website is a scam like the newbies scam which should be researched by the admins.
I have sincere sympathy for genuine fraud but this seems like agenda driven

The manner in which they commented lost 30-70k seems like a halua

Could be that they actually got scammed, and they searched on Google. Got DD thread as top result so created account to post here

I just searched on Google for its reviews but could not get any ..sadly got this page only after placing the order since that day I am regularly reading here ..my delivery date is mentioned as 9 April though let’s see and hope for the good !!

@RowdyAK47 i also created accout on this but i havi not mentioned anywhere that i have lost xxx amount. After i realised about this website, i started searching on google about this website, but onliy this desidime has the topic related to that, so i commented here about this because at least some people may save their money from that fraud after just seening tge post. I have also tweeted about this by tagging it minister, pmo, and gaurav chaudhari (TG) to make a video to aware people.
And i am not seenig here any option to uplaod photo. i have all screenshots of care chat, email and orders slip.
