Help! Amazon isn’t issuing refund as promised

Amazon isn’t refunding money as promised. Out of 3 payments, they only issued 1 amount of 25000. For other two some people are saying it’s issued but stuck and some people are saying it will be issued wait for few days. It’s been almost a month. Please read the email I’m attaching and provide some guidance if necessary.

First off all please accept my sincere apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. This is not the experience we want our customers to go through.

As I can see that replacement is not available as the item is already replaced hence I am initiating a return request for refund. On 27th July 2021 your item will be picked up and refund of Rs.25,634.43 will be credited back into your original payment method (some in Amazon pay and some in bank account ) with refund of Rs.9000 in your Amazon pay balance.

You can place a new order and we will refund the discount of Rs.3355.57 you have received earlier once new order will be delivered to you.

Clearly, the refund has been issued and it got stuck (Apay Balance part)
Ignore the support personnel ( who are saying that the balance refund will be issued soon ) & request a call back or mail bezos ( [email protected] )

May be because of wallet limit your refund is stuck.

Ask them for refund reference number, then contact your bank customer care.

Refund in the original payment has been received but the 9000rs and 3355rs which was going to be refunded in apay balance is stuck.

How long did it take for jeff mail team to reply back to you?
I’ve a problem and I’m emailing with their social media team for 3 days but they’re refusing to replace the damaged bottle, saying that it’s not too damaged ☹️

I don’t know but it’s getting risky in online shopping even with unboxing videos, one has to fight for refunds.
Saw several complains in DD as well as twitter where even amazon fulfilled items and big sellers like appario/cloudtail are sending wrong or damaged products but customer representatives refuses to refund (even with video proofs).
And either jeff mail or making the video viral will result in refund.

Amazon has refused to issue full refund amount and said maybe they’ll issue partial amount as per policy.
They’re saying there was a mistake from their executive so what was told to me was wrong information and I have to bear the brunt.
Is it wise to file a case against them via lawyer or is this way too much hassle for rs.12k

Out of this 25k has been refunded but remaining 9k and 3.3k they’re refusing. Reason being Amazon customer service told me wrong info. I only reordered on the basis of this written confirmation that I’ll be receiving refund.

First phone was never delivered to me. First one was maybe damaged during transit or something else and I was told it won’t be delivered instead they’ll issue replacement.
This unit which I received had display problem and customer told me the above mentioned content of email on phone but I didn’t believe they’ll Honor that so I asked for written confirmation and they sent that email. After which I did as I was asked. And still they’re refusing.
So now I effectively gave my working phone away for nothing.

Such bad precedence are going rampant nowadays. Faced a similar situation with Flipkart too. The other promises (reorder) look like useless.

No need to worry though. Consumer case is secondary.

Try to get in touch with the resolution team (can google for the id or can be found here too) with this copy of mail (as promised) and send them a good reply.. well worded.

95% chances are there to get the 3.3k refund. So what about the other one (9k). That being refunded or not? And what for, if not?? They need to clarify on that front too. Do you have full kyc with them to get full refund as 10k is the limit for minKYC accounts?

I don’t understand the calculation.
You bought iqoo 7 for 38k minus 3355 no cost emi discount and paid the rest via card 25634 + amazon pay balance of 9k?
Then for some reason you got replacement which was also returned and now you have received refund of only 25.6k in your card and amazon is refusing the 9k apay balance refund?
As for the 3.3k, if that was the no cost emi discount then amazon will never give you money for that nor is it ethical to ask money for that.

Out of 3.3k, 2100rs was instant discount and I’m only asking that amount. But main concern is the 9000rs amount for which they’re citing no refund policy. Even after clearly stating they’ll refund.

Place a call back request through Amazon app.
You will receive a call in no time.
Talk with them professionally, & elaborate your concern.
Keep the call recoring ON [for future reference].

Note: you will receive only 25634.43+9000 for refund as of now unless you place a new order.

I think there’s lot of misunderstanding here regarding what happened.
Day 1———Phone ordered
Day 2——— Amazon messaged me phone not deliverable due to some issue. Called customer care they issued replacement. I didn’t received phone till now.
Day 3——— Replacement delivered and my old phone exchanged.
Day 5——— Phone display faulty. Asked customer care to replace phone. But instead customer representative asked to reorder and initiated return and refund. She said all the discount and exchange amount will be refunded, Asked her to send all this as written email which she sent so I believed her.
Day 6——— ordered phone again without any bank discount.
Day 7——— new phone delivered and that evening old phone was picked up.

Customer care called me after I sent email to jeffbezoz id. And he basically told me that it was their fault and what was sent to me in email was wrong info by their customer care and now I won’t be refunded the amount as there is no policy like that.

Was this 9k extra bump up discount?
I faced similar thing with my TV exchange. Product received was faulty and replacement also faulty. Third time they said that cannot provide replacement and initiated refund. That time I had explicitly asked for the refund of bump up exch discount which they provided after few escalations.
