Hello desidimers,

It's not a general post or anything but a way to analyse how we dimers are beating the inflation in our own way

List down your basic expenses and how you save on them by paying online (either cc/dc/UPI/wallet)
Expense can be electricity bill/gas cylinder/recharges,etc

And to have a discussion on how we can save more what are the strategies?

Axis Ace for 5% on bills.. nearly 300 per month

Kids school fee with SBI Cashback card .. 500per month

Grocery via Instamart (Milk curd mostly daily) .. 12-15% ... 750 per month

Dining via Indusind Eazydiner for 1s a month.. 800-1000 per month

BMS Play card for movie .. 600per month (+ 400 via Eazydiner)

And then saving addition when paying these CC bills. (1-5%)

Apart from things that we receive from the government, I have never faced the problem of inflation due to companies burning investor money in favour of consumers.

Since 2016, one or the other company has been giving great discounts to fulfill the grocery needs. It was bigbasket, peppertap, ask me grocery initially. Then amazon pantry came, then grofers, then jiomart, then flipkart grocery, then finally swiggy instamart.

It has been a very smooth journey with no dry periods as far as grocery discounts are concerned. The future is surely uncertain though.

I'll tell you my story - Back in 2010/11, when i was in my school i did have enough pocket money to recharge my phone because calling was very expensive and i always tried to save money so that i have something in hand in case of any emergency. Those days i somehow got to know about some 10rs free recharge trick to recharge my phone but wasn't sure how to get that so there was hunt for Lo0T began and was introduced to DD and then life was pretty smooth..Made good/worthy dimers (I still miss some inactive members who actually made with platform so effective including @rajrocks).

Though i am not so active in deals section (i always miss loots because either i am offline or i am late into the party) but still i am happy if you neglect the fact that i spend a lot time on DD (can't fully ignore DD because for me DD=Savings in some or the other form) and networking is also important plus you get immense exposure to new learings.

Now for each and every category i've categorized my spends i.e. for grocery (dmart, jio & neu), Meat (Mostly licious), CC bills (Cred), shopping - the list is huge biggrin etc etc....

I am that guy who extensively uses CCs to avail max benefit so that i don't pay anything upfrontly (PS - I DON'T MAKE ANY UNNECESSARY EXPENSES BECAUSE I KNOW WHEN AND HOW TO SHOP/SPEND, i rarely purchase anything for myself but when i do i generally don't stop because of the pricing and yes i make sure i always try to deliver everything my family needs (as much i can from my end) so prioritizing stuffs is very important between your NEEDS and your WANTS)

All thanks to all veterns/dimers and those inactive members too in the forum who somehow made life easier but somewhat more addictive too biggrin

Trading on DD is always easy for me (i too was a newbie so i know that pain) but when people know you things are pretty much Kool

There are still lots of improvements required on this platform to make it more lucrative and interesting. Hopefully they revamp things in future and if you're still reading this comment, i really thank you from the bottom of my heart https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dulzn...AM

Yes you are right, that there is a list of companies giving lucrative offers & cashbacks on our daily needs... But now it's more of UPTO rather than FLAT.........Consumers are being trapped under these so called offers. Still there are some great sides too! Let's see what future holds !!

@saurohit138 school fees @ 10k per month? Which class? Well, we have a better option here, quarter of it for upto class 4 in the best school of the district. Almost falls under a metro area.

He hasn't specified the number of kids smile

Otherwise also, 10k is very much believable nowadays (not necessarily meaning better education but for that exclusivity)

Edit- Forgot that parents also pay for the transportation and other charges if using the facilities of the school, so in that case 10k is achievable even in a mediocre school
