Was looking to port two of my numbers into Jio prepaid, went to two - three dealers but seems the free 2-3 month recharge offer has ended.
All of them asked 150-250 for Frc of 1 month
Did anyone got it recently, will try finding more dealers if someone utilised it recently otherwise stay with my love, BSNL 😛

Tagging my chatri friend @ chota_chatri.....
This chattri offer is now only valid for 1 month.... Jio is charging 50rs...vi and airtel free circle- upE
i ported to jio last week, only 1 month offer (1.5 gb/day) was available..
Mansoon gone
Currently Rs.50 charging for MNP on Jio.
Any VI user here ?
Whats the minimum recharge for OG sms, is there any equivalent of airtel 99 plan which gives 100 rupees talktime (usable for OG sms and calling)
Also, do they require any active plan to receive incoming sms like airtel or it works without it as well , like jio
Never had either Vodafone or Idea SIM in the past, would be visiting them for the first time, airtel and bsnl are old favorites
Rs 129 but only 18 days validity. Only packs under Rs 150 can now be activated from main balance. IC SMS has never stopped even in nos. with no recharge in 2-3 years. OG calls get activated at least once when Vi credits 1GB/day for 7 days. So IC calls for another week following that. Occasionally just OG calls activated for 3 days with no free data.
There's also the useless 128 plan/28 days validity with zero benefits.
I am yet to test the Rs 99 pack. According to some a Rs 10/20 topup is sufficient to send SMS.
It's possibly true since my jio last recharge is 2.5 years back
Guys How to activate Rs.479 pack in Vi using main balance ?
2 months offer ended long back after Jio, Airtel, Vi complained to TRAI against each other.
Currently 1 month offer is running. You can port at your own (costing wd be approx 50-60 Rs. per sim). You need to get blank sims from any nearest telecom shop( Jio at Rs. 10 per sim, Airtel at Rs. 5 per sim, Bsnl at Rs. 20 per sim)
That 50-60 rupees is being charged by the operator bro?
Apart from the cost of blank Sim
On first of October, got the following message from regular retailer. (Proper shop, with multiple businesses. Not Umbrella man)

It seems that some operators keep doing this from time to time. When checked with him 'in-person'.. he told he had sent similar broadcast.. earlier too.
.
Basically Airtel (via the retailer) is putting in a lot if 'client acquisition fee' of sorts.
.
Beforehand I sought clarifications from the retailer ans sure enough he confirmed.
Airtel will foot the bill of the ₹99 or whatever recharge needed for sending the PORT sms from the SIM of the dormant or inactive number.
.
He immediately put some recharge on a dead Voda number.
Voila! Airtel recharging other operator number.. in the hopes that the prospect will convert to customer.
.
Then the usual "28 days unlimited pack is free" offer was there.
But I opted for the 56 day offer.
(He gets 30-35₹ in it.. if his monthly target is achieved).
He often gives me that pack or the BSNL 45day pack (port offer) too at a bit discount, than what he displays for all.
.
Finally I asked him, that what if.. the Customer later 'cancels' the port out request and gulps the free topup?
.
The retailer says that .. that much risk needs to be taken. Maybe out of a dozen Cx, one or two might do so.
(He confirmed that Airtel is still paying him for the free topup of other operator.. even if Cx runs away/ cancels Port request).
.
It seems like the pre 5G rollout rush (in some circles) to increase customer count.
Obviously if I manage 9-11 numbers, then I carry zero loyalties.
Simply let such offers come and port out again.
These things seem highly dependent on multiple variable, like
Region, circle, distributors, specific retailer themselves and the time of the month or quarter.
(I am only aware of proper retailers, with shops. Unaware about chatri-wala agents).
For the past 7-8 weeks, at-least Idea (Voda) and Airtel both (unofficially via local ASM/ Area Sales Manager) are even going to the extent of topping up the numbers of prospective MNP customers, if such customers do not have enough balance or a valid plan.
Yes, at-least the retailer (proper shop) which I am aware of, is topping up/ recharging dead numbers of other operators and then offering the below offer.
(The three images attached below have been taken on Wednesday evening, November 16, 2022).
Even BSNL (via the retailer) is offering the 45day FRC at less than half its M.R.P.
And the retailer (out of goodwill) is even ready to share the commission, target based income if some boy empanels under his ID, as a sub-agent.

This (1.5GB + calling/sms) 28 days free and 56days at INR 149, is across the board, from this shop/ retailer.
Across the board: Idea/Voda, Airtel, Jio.
Even retailers (who are) 400 meters away from this shop feign ignorance about knowledge of such offers. They claim that neither the Telecom Company, nor the distributors have any such schemes.
