Millennia Credit Card restricts lounge access from 1st December, 2023:

Indian lounges are still fine and are built to manage crowd. Some international lounges like Heathrow need a prior reservation!
I took me two hours in a virtual queue to get into No1 Lounge at Heathrow just because I didn't reserve it (which is another 600INR on top of using 1 visit from your priority pass / loungekey)
Millennia has made this a quarterly milestone benefit now .. so you get to choose between lounge access and 1000 gv on spends of 1L..
you wont get both..
baap re. good thing mine is LTF..
Neu Infinity abhi tak safe hai.. par kab tak ..
Tata neu cards ka number bhi aa sakta hai
Meanwhile me after spending more than 2lacs on sbi cashback card: saalon ab toh lounge access do...itna spend bhi kr Diya ab toh
5% vapis kardo aur le jao lounge access XD
I have not received any mail from hdfc regarding this. Same changes made to hdfc millennia diners club card or only for visa and mastercard?
I really hope all banks remove lounge options altogether from entry level cards, spend based for mid level cards, not just credit card, but debit as well. Link debit card lounge access to non-atm usage. Reason is: every 3rd or 4th guy has hdfc salary account, which gives easyshop platinum debit card, which gives lounge access. Its really difficult to get access to lounge even with a premium card when half the junta is standing ahead with a entry-level debit card.
PS: Even I don't have very premium cards, but still given the chaos at lounges, it is necessary. Banks spread this raita, now its their turn to clean it.
Also, this was sort of necessary. I haven't been to an airport lounge since COVID but before that the lounge at Mumbai used to be crowded and had a waiting list. Everyone had at least one CC that could get them in. When everybody is rich, no one feels rich 😅
HDFC is a for profit company like any other. It must have done a cost-benefit analysis and figured out that lounge access is costing them a good chunk of money. They wanted to cut it down without eliminating it - thus the spend based access.
hdfc is doing this for several ccs, even regalia got similar targets.
If you can afford air-travel once a quarter, expecting 1L spends in a quarter isn't too much. The problem really is for multiple cardholders who spread out their spends across various cards. Even if you are a family of 3, 1L spends in a quarter is doable.
Is card ke bhi ache din shuru
I lakh per quarter? That's absurd.
Wo hi to bro.
