RuPay card choose Priority Pass Access India to provide premium airport lounges and travel experiences:
Priority Pass Access India, a leading domestic airport lounge and travel experiences programme, owned and operated by Collinson, has announced a new partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
This partnership will enable eligible RuPay (a product of NPCI) cardholders in India to enjoy access to over 50 premium lounges and airport experiences across all major cities in India simply by tapping or swiping their RuPay card on entry. In addition, eligible cardholders of RuPay will also enjoy access to a network of railway lounges in India.
With travel returning at speed and travellers in India seeking out more sophisticated experiences that are seamless, integrated and add value to their journeys, this partnership is purposefully-timed to better support RuPay’s growing portfolio of travelling cardholders.
A recent Collison study that surveyed over 5,400 frequent travellers across seven Asia Pacific markets (1,063 of which were India-based respondents) revealed, lounge access is the number one most desirable travel benefit at the airport. Eighty-seven percent of travellers in India expect airport lounge access as a premium card benefit; 55 percent revealing they feel ‘rewarded’; while a further 52 percent ‘feel valued as a customer’ when they are provided with lounge access. They also value other travel experiences, such as dining discounts, lifestyle and wellness benefits such as sleep pods and having access to a wellbeing and fitness app.
Sumit Prakash, country director, India and South Asia at Collinson, said, “With India witnessing a travel rebound that is over and above pre-COVID levels, we are thrilled to partner with NPCI, the umbrella organisation that powers retail payments in India, to provide a strong travel-experience focused proposition to RuPay’s travelling customers."
Denny Thomas, head-RuPay, NPCI, added: “We are excited to partner with Collinson to provide Priority Pass Access India to our customers. We wanted to provide our customers with an experience that they can enjoy when travelling alone, with loved ones or business colleagues; and with consumers revealing that lounge access is their number one most desirable travel benefit, it was the ideal choice to gift to our valued cardholders and celebrate the return of travel together.”

Now banks will decide which partnership they choose - RuPay-Dreamfolks, RuPay-Priority Pass or bank will direct partnership with Dreamfolks or Priority Pass or LoungeKey to offer Airport lounge access in India.
RuPay is giving just one more option to the bank. At last, banks will decide which lounge access offer they want to offer to their customers.
Great info bro thanks

😊THANK you❤
If you visited lounge 15 years back vs now, I am sure you have already stopped going there

Is it on any rupay cc/dc? Couldn't find any related point in t&c.

I highly doubt anybody would have got the chance to do so in 2008 when the only cards offering it, in India, were.... none? Maybe only business class travelers and some corporate clients got it via their business class tickets/corporate access but no credit card had this feature. Even if the cards had this feature, who knew about it?! I'd take a calculated guess that only American Express Platinum charge card was available to the HNIs of Mumbai around that time.We have come a long way, transforming these from exclusive lounges to present day langars.
Lounges in major cities are like temple langar / dharamshalas .

That couldn't be possibly correct.
Diners was introduced, or rather reintroduced by HDFC as a credit card, in 2013
I am having HDFC Moneyback+ Rupay Credit card, will I get any lounge benefit at railway station or airport?

If we do not use the Visit Access for 6m for International Lounge access can we use older visits in Next 6 Months or it will lapse ?
