I got to know interesting points about the Standard Chartered Manhattan card. Everyone thinks it is best card but it is also has draw backs.
1. If your purchase is less than 1000 in supermakets and departmental stores won’t earn neither reward points nor cash back
2. Once we reached 500 cashback for the month, none of the transactions in supermakets and departmental stores won’t earn reward points or cash back.
3. For each transaction in departmental and super markets limited to Rs. 200. If you spend 10 k also 200 cashback, and for the remaining money they won’t issue rewards points
Achi is very much in form , more so after releasing the burden, boredum and feeling freedom fashion !
good decision bro !
Well yes its sad that they charge annual fee even after getting enough on our shopping. HDFC is much stupid in this way. I shopped a lot last year from HDFC card and they didn’t even waive off the amount.

okk so this was the suspense….
bringing the derailed discussion back on tracks.
Bhai log I have received my Manhattan card, with a very low (comparatively ) Credit limit. now what ? how frequently does SCBank reviews and updates the credit limit ? or asking them to raise is the only way ? People having experience please comment.
I dont want to ask because that will add another ‘hard enquiry’ to my Credit score.
They rarely do a review. I got my card couple of years back with a limit of 20000 and now around 3 or 4 months back they increased the limit to 34000. But all in all i only use it when I buy stuff for my home like ration and from stores like bigbazzar, 6 to 10 and the limit is more then enough.
Just to let you know that the maximum cashback in a month is 500.

Thanks for response, SAD to hear the SCBank does not increase the limit easily

According to their communication sent to me and on their website Max cashback per entry is 200. I know someone posted it is changed to 150 but so far i have not seen any official SCB website/communication stating 200 reduced to 150. Even customer care said it is 200
- Some Manhattan card holders said SCB reversed their annual fee of 1000.
- Some are saying they gave a fake Promise of reversing the annual charge once the customer paid the money and never bothered to return back.
how to deal with these scamsters, When is the best time to ask for a Annual fee reversal ? what process to follow ? misled by their false promises.
Dimers who were Successful in getting it reversed please respond. ?

It is 150 only. I bought cloths worth 6200 from Arvind Store and got only 150 as cashback.

The best time is only when you get it charged in your statement.

then they will delay resolution and wait for due date to get payment, once they get payment of annual charge, they might even stop responding to my calls for refund. this has already happened with some people above.

But without any charge in statement they even can not waive it off also. May be there is some another trick. If anyone know kindly share.
again they changed rewards redemption ration. They added more options but for the sake of more points.
Now shoppersstop voucher 3050 points and lifestyle 2900 points. In six months span two times they raised it.

Most of the Credits cards were given for NO annual fee 2 years back, but not any more
All cards mostly now have some annual fee or some condition to waive of annual fee. You need to spend some X amount in an year to get the annual fee waived off
Btw while I am talking about greediness, see this….. they can always point out this to you (read the text that I had kept in bold)
