Suggestion for new DTH connection

Update:

In Tata sky Shifting or Relocation charges are 200 and you have to pay in cash.

Relocation means from one room to another room or floor or place etc…

And remote is 200 for replacement .

Visitation charges after one year for any small change is 175. after on year

Info as per CC

Tata Sky Base Pack + 175 Per month for 14 HD Channels

Videocon Base pack(Min 202/-pm) + 150 per month for 14 HD Channels.

You have to take Minimum one month HD pack , you cannot de-activate after two days or one week…
Do keep sharing if you come across any thing else.

(sry to bump but trying to help many frnds here who are new to DTH and Charges Heavy Charges, HD really costly , thanks to dd for offers.)

Update Guys:

Bought Videocon DTH from Connections Online seller From Amazon Seller Using Zingoy CB.

Here’s what happened
Bought at 3:00 PM.
Got a call at 3:15 PM.
Received Registration number at 4:00 PM.
Got call from Local dealer at 4:30 PM.
Two persons from V2H/Dealer arrived at 5:00 PM.
Installed and left in one hour, gave him Tip of 100 bucks. Did the installation Clean.

Now Reg Videocon.
Pros.
First Looks are really good. Like 36-24-36
Best of all RF Remote.
Minimum Recharge 50 in Paytm etc.
Easily Changeable packs from base pack.
Toll Free Customer care
Easily Connectable Customer Care..
Recording via usb.

Etc..

Cons.
Some reall good channels are missing in telugu
EX: HMTV.
For recording Option 30 rs per month.

Will add more adv/disadv later.

Videocon doesn’t have any buttons on their set top box !!
so just in case ur remote goes down , u can’t change any channels
but the support is really good they provide a replacement remote within 8 working hour to you
N u Can’t find duplicate remotes for their set top boxes !!

My D2h HD Box has physical buttons to change channels and also I was able to replace its remote from ebay for only Rs. 150/-

Now, am looking to purchase HD Box with RF remote which apparently works even if the box is not in Line of Sight. Anybody have experience with this?

@hese – you seem to have purchased RF remote HD box, can you enlighten your experience and does it have physical buttons in HD box?

Afaik, and avalible info from the market,…In DTH only Videocon is providing RF Remote with setop box. but remote failure? you have to call them

Minimum DTH Recharge value is

100 freecharge,..
200 on videocon website
and most others also min 100…

any other sites/wallets less than 100 for V2H recharge??

No issues for me with minimum recharge amount as I do minimum recharge of around 200 everytime.

How is the RF remote; is it worth investing as they have offer of 999 to upgrade my HD box to RF supported HD box

Don’t worry, installation will be done by local dealer. Be careful if you are buying from ebay buy from seller who have positive feedback(95+) and if from amazon buy from Amazon fulfilled seller.
