Thank you for your continued trust in us.
We had written to you in March 2022 about reaching an agreement with Axis Bank for the sale of Citi's consumer banking businesses in India, subject to regulatory approvals.
As we begin this new chapter, we need your consent for transfer of your Citi relationship(s) to Axis Bank. If you do consent, it will also serve as a reconfirmation of the consent already provided by you under the terms and conditions for transfer of all associated data, information and tax documents to Axis Bank (as permitted by applicable regulations) for continued offering of banking services, including any KYC related compliance.
This is just the start of the process and rest assured will have no immediate impact on any product(s) held by you, leading to the completion of the transfer, which is expected in the first half of 2023 ("Effective Date"). We will keep you duly informed.
In the meantime, please continue enjoying all features and benefits of Citi products and services, including branches, ATMs, Citi Mobile® App, Citibank Online and CitiPhone Banking. Should you wish to view your relationships, login to Citibank Online and visit the account summary page.
Why you should agree to transfer:
Experience seamless and hassle-free transfer of your products and services to Axis Bank, a leading private sector bank in India.
No additional documentation or KYC details required.
What happens if you decline to transfer:
It will lead to closure of applicable products and services with due notice as Citi India will no longer be able to provide these products and services on and from the Effective Date.
You will have to register your alternate bank account / credit card for payment to billers, Mutual Funds, EMIs, etc.
Outstanding dues will be assigned to Axis Bank and will be payable to Axis Bank.
We request you to share your consent to transfer your products to Axis Bank at the soonest possible. Login to Citibank Online or
Citi Mobile® App; or SMS YES < space > last 4 digits of your credit card number to 98807 52484 from your registered mobile number; or simply click on the button below.
Important point to note:
For add-on credit cards, all credit card holders will need to provide consent separately on Citibank Online / Citi Mobile® App.

Open AU bank account digitally, transfer balance, get rupay platinum card, use Amazon monthly offer and also get higher savings or fd interest rates... Get offer for pre-approved card also, Move on.
Don't like AU? Go with HDFC.

I had citi reward card and goes knows on whose brand this give that 2.5% on asking citi cutomer care they keep giving stupid reply that if it then that
Axis on other hand is cratal clear on how much reward we got on which sale

The best thing about Citi Customer Care is they have powers to reverse heavy interest or penalty charges at a click of button whereas in any other bank it would require multiple level of approvals.

@guest_999 @bohemian I also have the Citi rewards credit card associated with my savings account at Citi. What will happen to it once I transfer all the money from my savings account? After moving all the savings , should I say Yes or No to the consent, thinking of the credit card that I have?
Should I wait & not provide consent by now as this transfer is supposed to happen by first half of 2023..?
PS: Have started getting the popup everytime I login to Citi asking for Yes/No/ Maybe consent question...:(

did anyone check whats gonna happen with the reward points ? not sure what to do now.. had re-applied and got citi card because of reward points.. it was good to redeem for fuel.

I see that Citi is asking for each of the relationships to move to Axis based on customer's consent i.e. Bank Account & Credit card separately...What to expect if I move the Citi rewards LTF Credit card to Axis? Will it have any charges? I m confused actually.
So all the customer who are ignoring till now for will transferred to Axis by default unless they explicitly say no.
