This question is asked many a times here. Still to help you out,

1.If you look for cheaper option, DishTV should be your choice. DishTV has large banquet of channels and also they are the one with maximum channels in DTH space. Picture quality is OK these days as they moved many channels back to MPEG-2. SD is Ok and HD is just fine.

They do come with offers time like 250CB on 250 or even 100% cashback offer running these days where they offering monthly cost as cashback so if someone on 199 plan then they getting 199 as cashback and if someone on 500 plan then getting 500. These are user specific and I find most getting the same. Yearly packages are at 20% discount from long time for all customers.

Customer care is best among all.

Picture quality is best among all is what I found with them. I started in 2008 with Reliance DTH followed by Airtel in 2014 then DishTV in 2015 and finally Tata Sky in 2016. Out of all 4 only Airtel and Tata Sky use to work during heavy rain. DishTV don’t worked at all when it rained when my connection was new too with new LNB. Over time LNB too get old and suffer because of whether and heat that worsen the situation during rain. My friend uses Videocon and It is more like DishTV. Both these companies are on merger path and waiting for final decision from concerned authorities. Videocon DIY portal is nothing when compared with others like you can’t get much details there. For everything you need to call them.

Tata Sky is most flexible DTH operator and have a “Want-It-Your-Way? Get-It-Your-Way” kind of approach.

They are little bit costly but still worth it. Tata Sky has all the needed channels. Their Do-It-Yourself (DIY) portal let you add/drop channels at will. (DishTV is catching up with them)

P.S- I am currently with Tata but moving back to dishTV as can’t resist their offer which they gave me to re-activate subscription i.e 1000 cashback on 1000.

TATA SKY ….. I have personally used Dish, Reliance & Videocon …… and Airtel in Hotel stays …..

Trust me nothing is better than TATASKY

I have 8k in my tatasky. What are the possible ways to use the balance if i want to discontinue it(except reselling and using the balance for dth packs).

Call the customer care ….. they will give it back to your account …. will deduct 3.5% or something …..

This is quite an informative thread. Can anyone tell me the best offer and pack to go for Tat Sky? Looking at 3 Tata Sky connections.

Tata sky is becoming very very costly. They have charged RS 2800 p.year for South,hindy movies only.that too many Hindi movies channel won’t come saying that you are not subscribed, no HD , I found that the local cable TV is far better than this Tata sky.

Is anyone successfully withdrawn excess balance from tatasky account?
