Hello guys, i am attending a campus drive for Grofers. So, any experts please tell me about their.

2)Weakness
3)Opportunities
4)Threats
Also how do they differentiate from flipkart, bigbasket etc?

if a wrong product is delivered do they still give 50 percent extra on returning it

Yes. Presently, they are just a logistics company. They source the products from local shops and deliver them to the customers within 1-2 hours. But they will move to the warehouse model used by BigBasket in the future.

They have moved to the warehouse model by forming the 90 mins retail private limited company. Right now they source the product from their central warehouse, have reduced their delivery staff, resulting in non fulfillment of their 90 mins policy most of the times. They still have the grocery stores. They source rhe products from the store the customer buys them from. Value store and freshbury are under the invoice of their warehouse 90 min retail. Also this warehouse have resulted into discounts and Bogo offers from them lately. Past 2 months they have been having sales on the last 3 days of the month. Their partnership with reliance retail has been strengthend as they also participate in the grofers sales. swot a bit later. I wish I stayed in gurgaon would have loved to work at grofers if given an opportunity.
Strengths
- Faster Deliveries than some of the other competitors
- Central Warehouse /Nodes structure resulting in economies of sale
- Highty Integrated Technology for their delivery chain .Delivery boys have app
- Central Call Centre based in Gurgaon and major operations Centralized Operations from Gurgaon ( though operations manager are posted in cities as well)
- Frequent 10 % to 15% discounts combined with payment gateway cashbacks leading to dependenc/habit of their service ( I have been one of the oldest users on DD since I first discovered Grofers through Desidime through their Unvalentine Offer which was on 14th Feb 2015 )
-No Expenditure for owning vans , trucks and refrigrated motor vehicles since deliveries are through delivery boy who are given bike allowance
-Catering to the working class , professionals and youth which form a majority of the
- Operating only on app reducing the cross platform development costs and on the go ordering and accessable to masses in urban India
-Wide range of products apart from grocery improving their margins and making lot of local produce/stores available to customers . Inshort improving customer choice
- No questions asked return policy and replacement of products
Weaknesses
- Frequent Discounts and offers denting their profit margins and operating margins
- Dependance on Mom and Pop stores for grocery is still not removed completely. This again dents their margin
- Creating multiple smaller substations/node/warehouse rather than only a single huge warehouse reduces in increased costs

One thing i learned from here is " if you have problem with system, then don’t participate. It’s upto your wish & nobody forcing you to be participant "
