Amazon Prime at 399 rupees is now available for select customers of Amazon India. This is going to be a more cheaper Amazon Prime edition that would cost just half of what the Amazon Prime Lite costs (Rs.999) and 1/3rd of the Amazon Prime membership (Rs.1499). On 4th October, one of our old users, @Mikhiljee shared some insider details on the new Amazon Prime membership, Amazon Prime Shopping Edition at Rs.399. As per the screenshot shared by our user, it looks like it’s a new festive offer launched by Amazon ahead of its popular Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale 2023 which is arriving on 8th October.

As you can see the Amazon Prime Shopping Edition Membership at Rs.399 offers pretty much the same benefits as Prime Lite except for the fact that the Amazon Prime 399 membership doesn’t come with Prime Video and Prime Music and also costs almost half of the price of the Prime Lite.
Apart from this, there don’t seem to be any other exceptions to this new Amazon Prime membership.
Currently, the program seems to be in beta and hence many users may not be able to view it. However, very soon, all users will be able to enroll in this newly launching Amazon Prime Rs.399 Membership Program.
We recently also compared Flipkart VIP vs Amazon Prime (all memberships) and it seems like Amazon just might be planning to bring an all-new Prime Membership in India to compete against the newly launched Flipkart VIP membership at Rs.499.
The Amazon Prime Shopping Edition launch date isn’t yet confirmed but as mentioned above, it should be available soon to all users.
