Amazon Prime Subscription Price Hiked!

My experience is good with amazon. Always check seller before buying any seller below 3.5 rating cannot be trusted (good seller :appario retail,cocublu retail etc).I use amazon for most of purchases. prime is used mainly for videos , but i get 1 day delivery. I always buy prime items so no delivery fee. only big electronics tv ,fridge i bought from flipkart. 

Stopped buying from Amazon due to shipping charges and the deals nowadays are not like Cloudtail times.

I hadn't purchased anything on Amazon in.last 1.5 years but in the last month I placed 2 orders with a gap of 20 days with 2 different sellers from 2 different locations with 2 completely different categories of the products. 1st I ordered a mop and they delivered a single cloth washing soap without even cover. It just came in a box and I was surprised to see and wondering how would the mop be fit into the tiny box. Next order for a selfie stick - I was wondering how come the package is so lightweight just to realise later that it was the only box of the selfie stick without the selfie stick in it. Of course I had chosen the items with return applicable, did videos of Unboxing and returned them. Amazon also stopped groceries in my area.  Amazon is slowly becoming chorclues. I was admirer of Amazon against Flipkart 3 years ago but that changed soon after I became plus member of Flipkart automatically and Prime is so much costly now.

One more thing, SBI CASHBACK card was approved with ease for many just to realise that they have greatly devalued it in the very next month. Also, I had got prime trial for 30 days very recently and just heard about the price increase...modus operandi....

Now Flipkart and Tatacliq is delivering much more easily and with lot of offers in comfortable min ordering level with variety of card and other UPI offers.

Majority of my amazon orders are sent thru Delhivery and rest thru Indian Post. You can gauge the quality of shipment and duration and tracking. Delhivery waits for a small pick van for transporting even small carton only flexible packages are sent thru motorcycle driven delivery agent. Returns too, if it is bigger and placed in carton, the motorcycle agent will ask to wait for the pick van, open and give him independently to be placed in transparent packet, he will accept. Delhivery sms are irrelevant with AWB and telephone contact. The number will not be attended by anyone and simply they will record as the house locked, person not available etc. One package was sent after 10 days in Indian Post, its tracking say handed over to Telegana facility. I'm in Gujarat. Now it will be routed to me. Hence an ordered item in Apr reaches after a month. Thank God, I'm Prime member.

How to pre purchase prime before plan expires?

Amazon Pay icici card can no longer considered LTF as its cashback system is prime dependent. Even though it was already like this before now pricing is going out of hand.

I am repenting now for subscribing it thru Woohoo gift voucher. I can't ask for termination and refund. Nowadays, they give delivery dates estimate for a fortnight. That too Amazon basics items sold by their fav seller. Nowadays they ship majority thru Delhivery, and Delhivery is dying a slow death. Pathetic handling. One refrigerator they brought in very stupid manner, I outrightly rejected the delivery. I think, given these circumstances, Flipkart is doing a better job. With open delivery option for some of the items, they are taking responsibility and we are also satisfied.

Amazon India has again hiked the subscription price of its Amazon Prime service. The reasons for this move are not yet clear, but it is believed to be a way to push subscribers to the annual membership from monthly and quarterly plans.

The Amazon Prime monthly subscription is hiked by 67% and quarterly by 31%. Thus, it's a massive increase. However, the 1 year plan price is the same i.e. ₹1499. Also, the Amazon Prime Mobile edition is untouched. Amazon Prime Lite is another good option at ₹999/year with Prime Video (SD and less multiple devices), 2-day free delivery, and more. For those who already have the monthly or quarterly subscription, Amazon confirmed saying:-

“As a valued customer, you can continue to auto-renew in the same Prime plan at the old price of Rs 459 for 3 months (and Rs 179 for a month) till the last renewal before January 15, 2024. In case the auto payment fails or the customer revokes the consent to auto-renew, you will need to renew Prime at the new prices”
