Amul has increased the milk price of all its variants by upto ₹3 per Liter, effective from today, 3 June 2024. Moreover, 500ml amul milk will now be ₹1 costlier. Besides, Amul Buffalo milk is hiked by ₹3/liter. However, there are some Amul milk variants whose price has risen by ₹1/liter. Here are some Amul offers to your rescue!
The biggest impact will be on Amul Taaza and Amul Gold (its highest selling variants) as their prices are hiked by ₹2/liter. Amul Buffalo, Gold, and Shakti milk’s 500ml price is now ₹36, ₹33, and ₹30 respectively.
The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has said that the prices of Amul milk have increased due to the increase in the overall cost of operation and production, and in-turn compensate farmers. The last time GCMMF raised the milk price was in February 2023.
GCMMF said, "The increase of ₹2 per liter translates to the range of 3-4% increase in MRP, which is much lower than the average food inflation. Amul as a policy passes on almost 80 paise of every rupee paid by consumers for milk and milk products to milk producers. The price revision shall help in sustaining remunerative milk prices to our milk producers and to encourage them for higher milk production"

Most dairies and general stores charge extra ₹2 as cooling charge so your Amul milk can now cost upto ₹5 more per liter! This hike might see people switch to other milk providers like Prabhat, Mother Dairy, Aabad, and other local ones.

Last time price amul price hike was in Feb 2023... inflation toh hota hai guys. Agar sab jagah price low hoga aur subsidy dega toh Pakistan ki tarah kangal ho jayega india.
