Google has announced its picks for the best Chrome extensions of 2022. The winners were chosen based on 4 categories: Productivity, Focus, Gaming & Viewing, and Learning.
In the productivity category, Google selected Tango, an app that automatically generates a how-to guide when you record yourself walking through a process. Then, SwiftRead, a speed reading app that claims to help users read two to three times faster.
Next up was Liner, a research tool that lets you highlight, save, organize, and get reading recommendations. Other productivity picks included Compose AI, an AI writing tool, and Visbug, a tool that allows designers to make alterations to text and images on websites. Finally, was ‘Check US Visa Slots’, an extension that allows users to check for US visa openings.
Moving on to the focus category, Google chose Workona Tab Manager extension which helps manage multiple tabs, and CrXMouse Chrome Gestures which creates custom mouse navigation shortcuts.
In the gaming & viewing category, Google picked RoPro, an extension aimed at Roblox players that adds unique features to the game, and eJoy, an extension that allows users to watch movies and videos with 2 subtitles in different languages for language learning.
For the learning category, aimed at students, Google selected Equatio, a digital math aide, and MyBib: Free Citation Generator.
