Once there is competition between company who will give good mobile in cheap price But now just opposite
It's too difficult to find a good phone nowadays in budget.
Sahil_Jain wrote:Its quite difficult bro, it was also much value for money. But because they are now previous generation phones, their manufacturing would have stopped.

But it's Xiaomi, the brand just rebranded the Note 10S as Note 11 SE in the next year and sold it for the same price. So, we can expect a similar smartphone in this price range from Redmi. Will update you as soon as we get any updates.
c55 and 12c are same too.

None of the above for me. I would get the Redmi 10 Because of the snapdragon chip. Its sad that It's the cheapest snapdragon phone available these days (along with the moto g32). Ideally cough up the additional 2K and get the 6GB version. Remove Miui annd install Pixel experience for even more goodness. I have a poco M3 I bought 3 years ago, still dont think any of these are worthy to upgrade.

All people who are looking to buy a good phone under 10K.
Go for Redmi 9 power or Redmi 10 Power. Pretty good phones with great performance for atleast 3-4 years.
austerthegreat71 wrote:True, it's better to get a Snapdragon phone. But the thing is that Redmi 10 and other Redmi phones with SD processors come with Android 11 and are older than the phones mentioned on our list. And we all know Xiaomi's history of bricking a phone after some updates. So, one can reduce the chances of getting scammed by buying a newer phone that would be considered under warranty if Xiaomi ever does anything like that with its under 10K phones.None of the above for me. I have seen people buying Xiaomi phones that were launched 2 years ago and when their phones got bricked, the brand just cared about those who bought the newer phones and that too much later than others. That's a big trouble imo.
AbhinavCracker wrote:Getting SD processors is better, agreed. But the problem is the way Xiaomi rolls out an update and its phones just stop working at all. That particular risk can be reduced, not completely eliminated, by getting a newer Xiaomi phone that would be under warranty when anything unwanted happens.

As of now, there's just one smartphone that comes with a 5G Snapdragon processor under 15K, iQOO Z6 Lite.
Some other phones that cost around 16-17K, and come with a 5G Snapdragon processor are POCO X5, Redmi Note 12, and MOTO G62.
Out of these three, I can recommend Moto G62 (average camera quality and slow updates) and POCO X5 if someone is willing to take the risk of their phone getting bricked after a year. The Redmi Note 12 would be good only if someone could get it for 15K or lower.
There are very few options for us and it's sad that brands just want us to buy expensive phones from them. Gone are the days when 12-15K were enough to get the best phones on the market.
But, if you need to know more about these phones in detail, I can make you a proper guide too. Let's see what other dimers have to say on this.

That's actually a very smart way of saving a phone, well done!
Brands generally downgrade their smartphones with newer updates so that people would change their phones asap. A smartphone that would launch now would come with a great camera output but after a year of updates, its camera would seem so dull and the user would want to change his/her phone. Not updating one's phone until necessary is the best way to prevent such things.

My daily Phone is the poco X4 pro 5G, bought that off olx for 11k, not happy with it either because it is not that stable.
Used a pixel 4a and 3 before that, but switched to poco because of battery life and repair costs, but now thinking of going back. Pixel 6 Pro's are going on olx for 20-24K.
I think the dying from update was a fluke for the X3 Pro. That phone was the peak of the processor wars in india and a hot rod with a chip from several segments above that a chassis at this price point couldnt handle. They all overheated and died premature deaths. Now that they are putting underpowered chips, I dont think they're at risk of premature death any more.
austerthegreat71 wrote:Most of times when POCO and MI phones die, the main reason is there unstable OTA updates. The Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max came with the SD 732G processor which wasn't all that powerful, but those phones had the same issues after 1 OTA update.

Also, it's generally not advisable to buy a secondhand phone, especially for the price at which you are planning to get one. For 20-24K, you can get a much better, new smartphone that would easily last for 3-4 years if used nicely. Do let me know if you need some recommendations.
