Ever since ChatGPT came to light, Google has been on its toes. And now, Bard is Google’s AI Chatbot and a hard reply to ChatGPT from the tech giant, which was unveiled recently. As mentioned by Google, Bard AI Chatbot is now available to use for some testers and if all things go well, it will be available for everyone to use too. Google Bard will act as a chatbot just like ChatGPT, where users will ask their questions and the bot will look for the answer on the web. But do you know what makes the Google Bard AI better than ChatGPT? Read further to get the answer.

Google Bard AI vs ChatGPT

ChatGPT is an AI chatbot that answers questions asked by users with the help of the data that’s fed into it by the developers. The biggest limitation of ChatGPT has been its database, which has information about all the major events that happened till 2021. So if your question is something that was unknown till 2021, then OpenAI’s ChatGPT will not be able to answer your questions, which is a drawback. But with Google Bard AI chatbot, this limitation can be overcome. Google, as of now, is the biggest search engine in the world and its chatbot will also use the same search engine in real-time to get the most accurate results to the users in no time.

Google Bard AI Chatbot Access Given to Testers Before Public Launch

Google has made its AI chatbot Bard available for testers now and the same AI tool will be made available for the public within a few weeks, according to Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai. In his message, Google’s CEO mentioned that Bard is powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications). As claimed by Google, Bard will offer fresh information and content to the users from the web and this is a hard hit to ChatGPT which hasn’t been able to do that yet.

As of now, Google has released a lightweight model version of LaMDA, which is a smaller model and requires less computing power. After gathering feedback from various external and internal testers, Google will then make necessary changes to their AI chatbot Bard and then, finally, we will be able to use it too. Google’s basic idea behind releasing a chatbot is to help people get more personalized answers to their questions, which isn’t possible yet with their search engine.

Google’s AI features that we will get to see in Bard will also be added to Google search, which will make things easier for everyone who surfs the internet. This will give a great boost to the search engine itself and people will be able to get better answers to their questions if the AI is implemented correctly. Moreover, Sundar Pichai said that Google has many more plans to surprise us with better AI products and services in the coming months; that’s really exciting!

What is Bard by Google?

Bard by Google is an AI chatbot that will make internet surfing easier for everyone. Just like ChatGPT, Google Bard will bring direct answers to the questions asked by users, but the Bard AI bot will probably be better than ChatGPT too. Unlike ChatGPT which has data stored till 2021 only, Google Bard can search the internet in real-time to get the best and most accurate answers.

How Do I Access Google Bard AI?

The Google Bard AI chatbot is not available to the public yet. Google has asked various professional testers to test their AI bot to make sure that it’s safe and efficient. Once these tests are done, Google will roll out a public version of Google Bard too. Hopefully, we will get to see Bard AI within a few weeks.

This is everything that you need to know about the Google Bard AI chatbot for now. A few days ago, we got to see Google’s MusicLM Text-to-Music AI Bot which is an interesting concept too. Now with all these exciting projects by Google like Bard AI, LaMDA, and MusicLM, things are getting heated up and all geeks, including me, are willing to see more from various tech companies. Not yet; Google has made Bard available only for some selected testers and now that there's news that Bard has made a few mistakes in its testing stage, Google may even take back those testing rights from all testers. But as the CEO Sundar Pichai said, we may get to use Bard in a few weeks/months.

From what I heard, it failed miserably during initial trials and it's back to dev for changes/fixing.

It's true
Bard didn't perform as expected and the same resulted in a huge fall in Alphabet's (Google's parent company) share price.
