We're hoping you have a stash of old chargers stored somewhere because you'll need them. According to The Verge, Google's next flagship smartphones, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, will come without a charger, exactly like Apple's latest iPhones and Samsung's top flagships.
Many major manufacturers made light of Apple's decision to discontinue providing a charger with its flagship smartphone series. However, it appears that more and more OEMs are adopting the same strategy. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones from Google are the latest to announce that they would not include a charger in the box.

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not launch in India as per the company. It can be pre-ordered in the United States and Japan, which are the only two countries where it will be offered. The phone will be available for purchase on August 26.
Google has not stated if the lack of a new charger in the box would affect the new smartphone's pricing. The Google 5a, which was released on Wednesday, could be the final Google Pixel gadget to come with a charger. It will also be the first smartphone to include Google's Tensor chipset, which was built particularly for smartphones. The rear camera system has been improved, as per the company.
Google has abandoned the conventional square shape in order to accommodate better sensors and lenses. New materials and finishes have also been added to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

There's an environmental advantage for eliminating the charger: reducing e-waste by providing fewer duplicate chargers to consumers. That's impossible to specify, and it might just mean that the greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacturing and delivering accessory chargers will be spread out across more companies when customers purchase them from third-party manufacturers.
However, one thing is certain: now that these three large smartphone manufacturers have committed to ditching the charger, smaller businesses will find it simpler to follow suit. While phone users may believe that they are paying the same amount for less, this is certainly a fact that we will all have to accept, so keep your wall chargers close.
Let us know your thoughts on it and will it really help the environment?

An apple phone usually last 5-8 years passing 1 hand to another. Still 5s is being resold.
If their concern was environment why put a crippling bug in 2 year old phones? Why does a phone not last more than 3 years?.I think consumers now need to take a stand against these decisions and let company know they didn’t like it vocally.

you can spend 60k on smart phone but still crying for 1k free charger
irony dhek rahe ho bc
That’s one way of looking at it. The other way is these brands not shipping a 1K worth charger with 60K worth phone 😁
By the way which 1K worth charger are you talking about? iPhone charger+cable is worth close to 4K !!
Bichare farmer wrking like madd to earn 1000 per month n hum daan dekar aate hai buying Chinese phones for 30 to 1lac
It’s irrelevant for us, the Indians.
Who cares!
Ye company se full charge hoke ayega, isko din maximum 2 gante hi chalana hai, battery khatam ho jane par, new battery order karke phir se chanana hai.
How does it even matter to us.. they’re not launching it in india 😏😏

Why don’t we stop buying mobiles just for show-off… we can save lot of money by avoiding buying useless electronic crap… I’ve seen people showing off with an iPhone, some of my relatives also do that btw, but to be frank it looks cheap…
Lets take oath to use our current mobiles for atleast 5 years whatever the new mobiles promise…
I’m Celebrating 5th year with my OnePlus 5 (8gb/128gb). Working flawless.

Next upgrade would be OnePlus 10
Good business for MI chargers or Chinese scraps

I had such friends who used to buy 3-4 generation old iPhones at around 25-30K or so, just coz it’s Apple. Those die hard Apple fan boys won’t even touch an Android phone XD
Anyways, to each, his own :p
They should have two pricing, one with charger and one without, money saved on charger should be passed on to consumers, environment ke naam pe they are fooling customers…..
India me log “Charger not found” bol ker refund claim kar lenge. even “mobile not found” bhi saath me add kar denge 🤣
Google, box से charger निकालकर कहा डालेगा 🤔
I’m OK with it IF they give discount same as price of an external fast/wireless charger or give a charger for free if you want.
Without charger phones will not succeed
Earphone ke lia b yahi socha tha.. remember oehle earphone aate the ab koi b brand nahi deta..

Nichodo or nichodo bc consumers ko
2030 : apple : we sell smartphones with out display and battery at just 2 lakhs only because of environmental concern

Google would not ship this phone in India why worry about Charger!
