i regret not taking loan from these apps using formated phone we should have looted them

Sbse phle to dream11 ko krna chahiye as they are baap of all the existing betting apps in India.

Banning only bunch of these apps won't make huge impact. How come these celebrities openly promote betting apps on social media, and veteran cricketers saying 'm yeh kar leta hu, tum jaake Dream11 pe team bna lo' on national television. There should be regulations on such apps rather than banning few of these

Wonderful move!! 🫡  Most of these apps are used by Chinese CCP fascists for snooping,surveillance and honey trapping.USA and UK have already banned even telecom companies like Huawei and ZTE and EU is also considering the same.

@FighterMan The company repeatedly call to offer Loan, even after refusal. I never registered on kreditbee. but they call my both no for loan. 1st they mail me, i block it. then they call or msg me, i block it. now they whattsapp me.

people are also not pure. easy money lures many. why would you take loans from suspicious sources and suffer later? i am happy about betting apps being banned but loan apps should have died a natural death with no takers. also, there are already so many loan sharks in this country. crazy that govt feels only these are bad.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is on the move to ban some Chinese Apps again. The list includes 138 betting apps and 94 loan lending apps. These are available on Google Play Store / Apple App Store, and also on 3rd party websites.

The Indian Government began investigating around 6 months back. They found that these apps stole personal data. Moreover, as per Section 69 of the IT Act, they were prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India.

What’s more, users were extorted and harassed even before the loan repayment date, and also if already repaid. Additionally, annual Interest Rates were manipulatively sky high. These are reported to be 'Instant Loan Apps' which give small amounts upto Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000. They approve loan quickly just on the basis of KYC. Student Loan Apps are also popular in India so beware! 

Reports say that Chinese Nationals are behind these apps. They are using Indians as a face to run these apps. Users on these apps are being harassed via foul language on sms and calls. Moreover, they are threatened by showing their morphed images which would be sent to their contacts if not repaid. Also, operators are asking for money from their contacts.

Due to these events (unable to pay loan / money loss in betting), suicides were seen in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Thus, Telangana, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and central intelligence agencies went to the Union Home Ministry, and finally the matter reached to MeitY who will impose the ban.

The Government has also warned to avoid betting and loan advertisements as per Consumer Protection Act 2019, Cable TV Network Regulation Act 1995 and the IT Rules, 2021.

These apps have a predatory behavior which makes the user fall in the loan/betting trap so deep that there is no way out. Thus, it can be used as espionage and propaganda!
