India to Canada E-visa is finally resumed after 2 months of the heated conflict between the two countries. After Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s explosive announcement on September 18th about the “involvement of Indian agents” in the killing of the Sikh separatist leader, New Delhi suspended the visa services for Canadian nationals. Canada also halted its visa services in Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Finally, after 2 months of tension between the two countries, India to Canada E-Visa is resumed.
On September 18th, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the House of Commons said there were "credible allegations'' that Indian agents were behind the killing of a Canadian Sikh separatist leader. India took no time to completely reject the allegations. Soon later due to a lack of “concrete evidence” for his allegations, PM Justin also had to face some strong criticism from the media, opposition & the Indian government.
The good news is that the Indian government on 22nd Wednesday, November as per sources has now resumed all visa services to Canada including a tourist visa.
Last month, the PM Modi government resumed visa services to 4 of the 13 categories including entry, business class, conference visa, and medical visas.
Excluding tourist, employment, student, film, missionary, and journalist visas.
Today, as per the information revealed by a government official, the government of India has now resumed e-visa services to Canada.
While there aren’t any official announcements out yet by our foreign minister Dr. S. Jaishankar or PM Narendra Modi, the acceptance of an India to Canada visa is a highly expected move after the government restored some visa processes last month.
Also, the acceptance of e-visa comes ahead of the virtual G20 leaders summit which is all set to be held today on November 22nd under the chairmanship of PM Narendra Modi.
This would also likely be the first time after the conflict that the two prime ministers would come face to face each other.
