Multiplex Association of India on 21st September announced National Cinema Day on 13th October, Friday, applicable across India on all 4000+ participating cinemas screens. This includes some renowned cinema theaters such as PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj & more. The Multiplex Association of India started celebrating National Cinema Day for the first time in 2022. The National Cinema Day for the year 2022 was set to be 16th September earlier only to be postponed to 23rd September later on. Interestingly, the popular movie Brahmastra was being telecasted in theatres around the same time (16th September).

This year too, the dates again seemed to have been postponed even further. Now celebrating National Cinema Day on 13th October, the Multiplex Association of India tweeted the following announcement:
