Punjab National Bank (PNB) which is one of the largest public sector banks in India recently announced a pre-qualified credit card facility for its customers. The pre-qualified credit card facility by PNB offers a number of benefits to customers with salaried accounts. Before we jump to the benefits of the PNB Pre-qualified credit card, let’s make sure we know what a pre-qualified credit card is.
A pre-qualified credit card simply means that the card issuer believes that at least some of your financial and personal information matches the card requirements. Whether it is your monthly income or credit score.
Please note that even if you are pre-qualified for a credit card, you would still be subjected to the approval by the card issuer or bank.
The Pre-qualified credit card facility of PNB hosts a number of notable benefits to its customers and the bank would be offering the cards under two platforms such as Rupay and Visa.

One can apply for the pre-qualified credit card facility through their salaried account, mobile banking app, PNB One, or website, or Internet Banking Service (IBS).
Apart from the pre-qualified credit card facility, PNB has also introduced a new facility of overdraft against fixed deposits through which customers can quickly and easily make an overdraft against an FD. PNB customers can also apply for loans online without having to go to the bank physically and can get a 0.25% discount on the interest rate when applied through online banking services.

PNB has earned a great reputation - for people to stay away from it. (now applicable for credit cards too)
Oh yes, SBI work culture and efficiency has improved a lot... maybe they got an internal memo sometime last year and it has worked (at least in our region).
