Now, access high speed internet directly via satellites, thanks to Starlink Broadband which is now available for pre-orders in India. It is available on a first cum first serve basis because of limited connections. Starlink uses satellites built by Elon Musk’s SpaceX for data transmission. Thus, it is very useful for people living in rural or remote areas. Moreover, it gives great speeds and seamless connectivity. Now, let's check its price, speeds, and area availability in our country.
The Starlink Broadband is currently priced at $99 i.e. Rs 7,266 in India. The company has not yet stated that this price is for how much duration, but probably it is for 1 year with an unlimited data plan.
The Starlink Broadband will provide speeds ranging from 50-150 Mbps in India. The company says that in the coming years, it will be able to provide more high speeds. Moreover, it’s satellites are 60 times closer to earth than other satellites so the latency is low.

To Pre-Book Starlink’s Broadband Connection in India, simply follow the below given steps. Make a note that Starlink will start servicing from 2022 only. Besides, pre-ordering does not guarantee you a Starlink connection. If Starlink, due to any reason, fails to serve then your entire amount will be refunded.
To check whether Starlink Broadband is available in your area or not, simply enter your location in the “Service Address” space. If there are no auto suggestions or the suggestions don’t match your location then currently it is not available in your area.
Will you go for the Elon Musk backed Starlink or stick to your current broadband internet provider? Let us know your views in the comments section below.
Not sure how it can be compared in the era of Fiber optic, which has been rolled out in majority of Indian cities. One can’t compare the speeds of Optical fiber and Satellite 🛰 internet as fiber optic provide you almost 100% throughput without losses, where satellite internet will always have a lag and climate condition depend and and losses are expected. There will surely be latency just imaging flight internet which is too satellite based and expansive. I would say better for remote areas where no Fiber to home operators available.

I happy with my Guddu Cable wala Broadband plan 450/month for 30 se 40 mbps.
Is there any wireless broadband available in india?
I am happy with my 1mbps BSNL 3g plan.
I am happy with my GTPL Broadband plan ₹472/month for 35 mbps.
I am happy with this speed.. enough for my house and for all of my devices.

At 99$(7000₹)/per month, this is beyond expensive. The speed too is 100 MBPS. Presently Jio fiber is providing 1 GBPS speed at 4000₹/per month, that too comes bundled with 15 OTT apps including Netflix.
The only reason to get this is if fiber service is not available (airtel, jio)in your area. Then too local ISPs provide cheaper service.
In india this service will be big failure.
They have clearly stated it is “Ideal for rural + remote communities”. Not for cities and towns that have fibre.
good for remote places where there are no fiber net providers
Good
$99 per month in US
in INDIA???
Whichever plan comes to India, they decrease their monthly price as they won’t get a bigger and addicted market anywhere else
🤣

If there are heavy clouds, will this Internet work or not?
Works, just need to face open sky without any obstruction by trees/mountains/buildings.
Mobility(fits in vans/buses),Remote areas, forests and uninterrupted nett seekers use this globally, it’s big business as it across the globe. Speed test shows 100mbps with low latency, but sure reaches gigabite soon. Though costly makes lot of money. Waiting to buy spacex ipo
I think 🤔 sugam internet for remote areas , where harsh conditions hamper with the setup of network.

Agree 100 % …
Tata docomo scammed me, jio/airtel never gave 3g/4g speed.
I won’t be surprised if spacex also plays dirty and blame the goddamn hill for speed.
Same thing happened when Tesla car booking announced..till now no clue
