In a recent post from Xiaomi Time, it’s announced that the HyperOS 3.1 update will not be available for devices running on Android 15 as the company plans to tie its major OS updates to Android updates. Thus devices running on Android 15 will not get HyperOS 3.1 update. However, they shall continue to receive security updates.

First, make sure your device is supported for HyperOS 3 or HyperOS 3.1 (yet to release). Next, follow the steps below to install the HyperOS update on your device.

1. Check if your device is eligible for HyperOS 3 or not (device list shared above)

2. Backup your data to a computer or Pendrive

3. Go to your phone settings

4. Go to the “About Phone” option

5. Check for system updates

6. Update your device to HyperOS (if available)

Note that HyperOS 3 update rollout has begun from October 2025 and the update will be available to all eligible Xiaomi devices by March 2026.
