Bass is average. If you are a bass lover try to get hold of something like brainwavz IEM’s which are known for excellent bass. . Vocals are excellent on this earphone and you can hear each and every instrument very clearly. I would rate it much better than the likes of Soundmagic and Creative IEM’s. I think this headphone may need about 50 hours of burn in and im pretty sure it would sound much better.

for 1000 bucks its steal coz the build quality is excellent and the wires don’t tangle and the sound quality is really good.

I have not heared Piston 1 earphones so cant’ compare them with Piston V2 however i have got quite a lot of earphones at home ranging from skull candy’s to sennheisers and i can safey say Mi piston is much better than them.

Try out VSonic GR02 Bass edition, its even better than brainwavz M2 and definitely better than creative’s ep630. and yes its for a basshead

missed my cod yesterday got it just now ……….
funny their package label says black but inside mi label says clearly gold colour .
and 16 ohm is right … and it has nice sound seems to me burn in is required coz first 5min of audio was horrible but after 15 min same song was better.
similar to my sennheiser cx180 but now with style and control button . i have mi silicone tips with my cx180 and now noise isolation is better.
and metal body and best tangle free.. cord is short(maybe for 16 ohm)

please check again volume button dosent work with apple product and in my pantech burst i can only turn volume down up dosent work maybe they are designed to work on mi devices
dimers kindly confirm if it’s with yours also or both volume button are working in any android

How are the volume controls working out for everyone,

1. Optimus G: Vol up/down both did not work. Pause worked for Poweramp, not for Play Music app (more like on/off for Poweramp itself)
2. Pantech Burst: Vol down worked, up did not
3. iPad 4th gen, default music player: Vol up/down both did not work. Pause worked for Poweramp
4. Tested with Mi3 of a friend, vol up/down both worked.

Also, what is with the supposed chocolate flavor/smell for the box as being mentioned on some videos or pages, I could not notice anything like that.

+1 to VSonic GR02 Bass edition if you want bassy version of piston , great IEMs with amazing bass. Brainwavz and Vsonic both provide some great quality headphones at decent prices. Had Vsonic gr 07 before and one of the best I’ve ever used!

I don’t like bass that much so this is in fact a good news for me.

But i think it is strange that piston 1 had such a booming bass and piston 2 doesn’t have. I will receive mine in a day or two. Will compare these with piston 1 and write here

1. Amazing Bass!!!

2. I have got the V2 version and they are gold not silver.

3. Amazing packaging and the materials being used is very good!!!

I don’t know why folks were telling they need to break in etc this were perfect right off the the box!

Dont worry they have atleast more than 1000 in stock so it wont run out that quick.

I bought the “Piston 2” from ebay for 999.

They turned out to be fake. Verified from the various videos & guides on the internet.

I have written to the buyer asking for a refund. He had a 99.7% rating.
