As per the updated MITC for Axis Bank Freecharge Plus Credit Card, the 5% Cashback on spends across Freecharge app became +truly unlimited+, scrapping away the Rs. 500/750 /- ceiling. This means you can earn 5% on all spends including insurance payments etc. * The changes are already in effect with all statements generated after 12th Aug 2021. * This effectively puts the card ahead of ACE/ICICI-apay, and many other super premium cards. * The joining/annual fees are nominal compared to other paid cards in the group. Official wordings: * Unlimited Cashback – The Rs.500 capping on cashback earned in a statement cycle will be removed for all cashback credited post 12th Aug 2021. Remember: As it seems, the card confusingly named: "Axis Bank Freecharge Credit Card" is a different variant, without any mention for this offer.
CAVEAT: Freecharge doesn't have in-app payment mechanism for LIC. So, that indeed is a bummer. You have to rely on other avenues for LIC like Paytm-citi (3% CB or take the convoluted giftcard route using smartbuy with DCB/Infinia) APOLOGIES: It seems that this topic was already discussed earlier by sri222. My apologies for unnecessary duplication. It didn't appear on my initial search prior to posting this. The threads may be merged. https://www.desidime.com/discussions/axis-freec...
