Cashback Terms & Conditions – Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card
Definitions: For the Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card, the following terms shall, unless the context otherwise admits, shall have the following meanings:
- Cashback shall mean money awarded in the customer’s credit card account under the cashback scheme.
- Preferred Merchants shall include certain merchants on which the cashback earnings shall be 10%. These merchants can change at the bank’s discretion.
- The cashbacks will be processed according to the following table:
Spends on | Cashback |
Airtel Mobile, Broadband, WiFi and DTH bill payments via Airtel Thanks App* | 25% |
Utility bill payments such as gas, electricity, etc., via Airtel Thanks App* | 10% |
Preferred merchants* | 10% |
All other merchants/ other spends | 1% |
Capped at Rs.300 per month
** Cashback shall be eligible on spends made on Preferred merchants – Swiggy, Zomato, & bigbasket. The total cashback is capped at Rs.500 per month across all merchants. Preferred merchants and their respective offers are subject to change from time to time without any prior notice.
- Cashback shall not be eligible for following spends/transactions on the card,
- Fuel Spends
- EMI transactions
- Purchases converted to EMI post facto
- Wallet loading transactions o Purchase of Jewelry items
- Cash advances
- Payment of outstanding balances
- Payment of card fees and other card charges
- Rental Payments
For eg. If the customer spends Rs. 30,000 in a billing cycle with the following break up of spends of Recharge through Airtel Thanks App: 2500 & Utility Bill payment through Airtel Thanks App: Rs. 2,500 | Swiggy, Zomato & Bigbasket: Rs. 5,000 | Other spends: Rs. 20,000. Out of these “Other spends”, Rs. 10,000 was an EMI purchase. Thus, the total spends eligible for cashback would only be Rs. 2,500 + Rs. 2,500 + Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 10,000 (EMI transaction) = Rs. 20,000

That post doesn’t have any info about the card bro
Huge difference between 5 and 25.
Is this card benefit?
Description | Charges |
---|---|
Joining Fee - Primary Card | Rs.500/- |
Joining fee – Add-on Card | Waived |
Annual fee – Primary Card | Annual Fee: 500 2nd year onward Annual fee waived off on annual spends greater than Rs. 2,00,000/- |
Things that needs clarification –
whether the registered mobile no for the card needs to be airtel no
whether application is to be made through airtel app.
whether whose holding Flipkart CC are also eligible or will the flipkart CC be “upgraded” to this.
The card will be exclusively available through Airtel Thanks app , for eligible Airtel customers. Atleast that’s what they said in the press release
I have freecharge want to upgrade it to this card 😛
I think you should be able to upgrade through customer care just like people did with Flipkart axis card.
Official website asks to apply through airtel app.

Also Rs. 300 cap each for 25% and 10% on airtel thanks app right ?
Ref:
There is a limit to the earning of the cashback which is as following:
o For 25% cashback on spends on Airtel Mobile, Broadband, WiFi and DTH bill payments
via Airtel Thanks App, the capping is Rs.300 per month.
o For 10 % cashback on spends on utility bill payments such as gas, electricity, etc., via
Airtel Thanks App, the capping is Rs.300 per month.
o For 10% cashback on Preferred merchants is capped at Rs.500 per month (combined
for all merchants).
o For 1% cashback on other spends there is no limit
it should have been 25% upto 300 on each transaction upto 1000 maximum on monthly basis

Link Updated
I apply 4 times for axis bank credit card (different card). All time they rejected my application. I got ICICI Sapphiro card and Slice card. I am getting 2% discount on Slice. I recently moved from Airtel to Vodafone. This card is so stupid for non-airtel user.
I will never get a credit card from Axis bank (even they give me free). Axis bank is lootera bank. They can scam you in the name of consolidated charges.
Since I have a ICICI Bank, I never look at Axis for anything. Axisbank is just scammer.
Contradictory statements brother. If you don’t look for it, then why you applied 4 times ? Aac-chhi is not a scammer but their approval process is stringent and their CS is poor / dumb.
It says “Thanks for your interest
We currently don’t have any credit card offers for you. We will notify you once we have curated offers for you.”
Same here. Any solution
Thanks for the information. Please do mention the renewal fee is waived for annual spends above Rs. 2 lakh
Also in the post cashback shows upto Rs. 300 on airtel app, but i think it is 300 for 25% and 10% each. I saw in comment but please add in post and/or wiki

Applied and vkyc done..all in 5mins. Impressed and smoother process compared to free card I applied few weeks back. Let’s see what happens next.

For those who still have doubt regarding cashback, the application page clearly mentions CB for each category.
300+500+300+1% unlimited
So per month we can get 1100 cb by spending 9200 by correct usage + 1pct CB on other spends.
11.95% cashback if what you say is true.
That’s too rewarding, means it would be shortlived mostly.
capped at Rs.300 per month
Kills the card, at least they had 500/pm limit
