I will suggest to take credit card against FD as you have already been declined a credit card due to cibil. And use it for few months. That will generate your record in cibil as you don’t have one right now. Make sure to pay your credit card bills before due date.

For those guys who got approved their LTF cc and delivered, what are you opting along with SmartPay? Out of EasyEmi, Balance transfer, GI-EMI (Don’t know what the heck it is and how to avail it) ? PS: Don’t go for OneAssist its charging 1200-1400 Rs from what I’ve seen from online complaints, not exactly sure how much charge it is.

I got a call from hdfc saying that I’m getting ltf regalia card.No need to add any bills or use any smartbuy options.
I’m in a dilemma whether I should go for it or not. Since I won’t be getting 1000 gift card.

It’s better to take that since they are approaching you directly for the card…Forget about that 1000 GC now…Card is the most important thing, GC is just the bonus…

Lol I did not see this 3 lacs thing too when I applied for Diners Privilege…So they are now giving DCB LTF too if spending 3 lacs within first 90 days but you are better off talking and getting confirmation from them directly as I don’t know if wallet loads are eligible or not…They are extremely notorious about these things and they keep changing their T&C all the time…

I had received the same email & SMS but they still declined my application like I mentioned earlier in this thread…And they are sending these fake Pre-approved LTF card emails to EVERYONE..I am still getting these BS in my SMS & E-Mails…

Raised complaint on 2nd Nov & got a reference number…They still did not bother to respond to it as they after sending me card approved email & SMS, they declined my application…

After their owner or CEO changed, all these started to happen…Before HDFC never used to send the same fake Pre-Approved LTF emails to every customers…

It seems they will devalue DCB soon as now they giving it to so many people LTF . Earlier only IIT/IIM alumni etc

Link your card with SmartPay & pay 3 automatic bills for first 3 months…After 90 days, call them to verify if it has been converted to LTF or not…

After multiple times complaining on twitter, they sent me this reply from this email address : PriorityRedressal.CreditCards @ hdfcbank.com [remove the space]

My complaint was related to why did they send me card approved email like the below ss & then declined based on a negative report by their incompetent & arrogant physical verification agent…

They neither read my complaint nor provided any solution of my question that if they can’t give a new card, can they atleast upgrade the crappy 3 years old MoneyBack (which has enough limit to qualify for the Privilege card), to Diners Privilege which I had applied for & they sent me email that it was approved…But they did not even bother to read a single sentence of my complaint which I had registered on 2nd November & now after 16 days, they are sending me this FORMAL & GENERIC card decline message (and that too again complaining on twitter about why they are not responding to my complaint) which I already got like more than 3 weeks back…Called Nodal Office multiple times & they kept on telling to reply to the same email even though I told them on the phone that I am only getting generic replies…

I have upgraded or converted to Diners Millenia CC from Diners Premium in September. Now I am unable to see Diners Millenia world card on their site. Did they they discontinue this card recently? I could see only VISA and Mastercard variants.

It worked as i filed complaint at RBI ombudsman. Infact this was the first para of the HDFC mail to me

“This is with reference to your complaint filed at office of the Banking Ombudsman, regarding your HDFC Bank credit card account. On receipt of your e-mail, we have taken a detailed review and wish to share our findings with you. "

So go to RBI site and file a complaint stating that you have a HDFC card and the bank did approve an E-CARD (share details). Now bank is neither giving that card or providing upgrade . Hence, I want compensation of loss of time and agony and as a solution want a card upgrade.

Thanks a lot…Extremely helpful…I will try this today…Since they no longer care when their customers contact them directly, so yehi best method hain which they can’t ignore..I will also mention in my complaint that HDFC told me that if I email them again, they will not reply me back…

BTW buddy, I filed the complaint on the RBI site on 22nd & today out of curiosity I just logged onto the netbanking to see if there is any magic happened & a small magic did happen…I got an LE offer…Card upgrade option is still showing as not available but I think it has to do with the complaint but not sure because I was using the existing moneyback card extensively & if the tracking on the RBI site is real, then the complaint still has not reached the bank from RBI…But since I was not getting any LE & suddenly got this LE, I think it’s because of the complaint & maybe the complaint tracking system updates the status later…I did not get any email from the bank yet regarding the LE or the upgrade but I am hopeful for a positive response…

Let’s see…Thank You once again…I will update here if anything… smile

I am filing an RBI complaint regarding my HDFC Regalia cc.

Bank isn’t willing to convert it to lifetime free. After complaint over email, they reversed my annual fee of 2500 + 450 GST only for this year, as a “Service gesture”.

But my cc is still priced and not free.

At the time of issuing the card, the agent didn’t inform me about registering smartpay within 90 days. But additionally, the agent on phone pushed me for the second option of converting the card to lifetime free – which was Easy EMI on insurance.

So I registered myself for Easy Emi on HDFC ERGO worth INR 3900. :/

So what should be my complaint about as the bank has already issued reversal?

Should I complain regarding the easy emi transaction in “Disputed amount involved” section?

Or just mention that even though the bank did compensate the annual fee, my cc is still priced and not lifetime free even after registering for easy emi?

Whats the best way to address this? thank you.

Mention these two things in your complaint…Mention that the executive forced you to go for the Easy EMI on Insurance ensuring that your card will be LTF but after you did that, they backed out from their promise & not agreeing to convert your card to Life Time Free which they had promised earlier…You can skip the part that they have reimbursed you the first year fees…On your complaint, write everything about the fake promise of converting the card to LTF & not providing that after you have done what they asked you to do…
