Received the below email from their Senior Management team…

“This is with reference to your complaint number xxxx filed at the Office of Banking Ombudsman, regarding your HDFC Bank credit card account.
We have noted the concerns expressed by you regarding upgrade of your credit card. On receipt of your complaint, we took the matter for a detailed review and wish to share the details as below.
We infer from your complaint that you interest to upgrade your credited to Diners Club Privilege.
We request you to share the scanned copy duly singed card upgrade form from your registered e-mail ID as it enable us to assist you further."

They asked me to send the card upgrade form by email…Their English level is MashAllah…I don’t know with what qualification they are getting these extremely high paying jobs at such senior positions… 
Did they ask you to send Any supporting documents?
Please share the email id where you are supposed to send the upgrade form.
They haven’t responded to my upgrade application form yet. Not even acknowledged.

I have HDFC DIners premium credit card. With Limit approx 3 Lacs. I also Have HDFC Bank account. But dont use both much.

In netbanking they are only offering upgrade to Diners Millenia Card. Should I consider it?
Just checked the netbanking & in the app…The old details are gone…Only the MoneyBack card number is showing…Everything else is showing 0.0 including credit limit, available limit, cash limit etc…Means they have removed the MoneyBack & in the process of upgrading to Diners Privilege…I did not know they would remove the card yesterday itself…I had about 323/- something needed to be paid (some Zomato purchase) but now I can’t pay the amount to the card I think as the card maybe have already been deactivated…Since I have never opted for a credit card upgrade from any bank before, so it may sound lil silly but will the due amount be automatically transferred to the new card ??
IndusInd is also calling regularly to offer an upgrade to Iconia or Pinnacle from the existing crap Platinum Aura Edge but for Iconia it’s 10k+ GST & for Pinnacle, it’s 15k+GST…Even though I will get Amazon vouchers of 10k or 15k but the GST part is not refundable plus this crap bank never increased the limit of Platinum Aura Edge in over 2 years since I got it so I’m not interested right now in their upgrade offers as there are almost no offers online on the IndusInd cards plus there is no use of paying for such high-end cards when the bank doesn’t give a single LE in 2 years…
I applied for irctc sbi platinum credit card and i received it also. since i am using the credit card for the first time is there any way to waive the annual fees and any benifits? Please tell me if anyone has idea regarding this
Unfortunately no waiver is possible for IRCTC Rupay Platinum Card…You will have to pay it or if your card spends are good, you can request them to upgrade the card variant to SimplyClick (for online), BPCL (For Fuel) or SimplySave (for Offline) & can waive the annual fees of 499+GST if you spend the required amounts in the previous year..
The shipment has reached Kolkata…BlueDart doesn’t deliver shipments on Sundays so it will be delivered tomorrow…
And for people who were commenting/thinking that I did not have eligibility but forced the bank to give me the card, I would again repeat the same thing that I was/am fully eligible for the upgrade & got emails & SMS from them that my application has been approved after I had applied for the same card but they did not give me the upgrade & even though I sent them emails very politely, they humiliated me by saying that, they will not reply to any of my emails if I request them an upgrade…
And my problem (if you consider this as a problem that is), if anyone deprive me from something which I deserve or am qualified for, mujhe jeed chadh jaati hain ke mujhe yeh karna hi hain & this is about everything, not just a card from some bank…ICICI also told me once, that they only give cards to salaried people even after me having a privileged account with them for several years and they never sent me any pre-approved offers…Then I applied for the Platinum chip through my RM & now the same bank which had said to me, that they won’t’ give cards to self-employeds, gave me total 3 cards…
I would not have complained about HDFC on RBI site but I did because of their humiliating emails…
Also I was not aware that we can complain on RBI against any bank but thanks to @Dealhunting , who told me about this that, if any bank misbehaves with their customers & doesn’t provide the required service to their eligible customers & doesn’t bother to resolve the complaints after several requests, we can take help from RBI…RBI themselves have provided this option of online complaint to us because they are very well aware that banks many times take their customers as granted & don’t bother to fix the issues raised by the customers…
And I have bank accounts since 2003 & this was the first time I had to take help from RBI to get it resolved…And RBI is not dumb that they will tell the bank to give me the upgrade if I am not eligible for it…In that case, everyone who are not eligible would complain on RBI & get what they want…It does not work like that…
Some people have the habit of reading only the last page of any thread & start ASSUMING everything…These people did not even read where I wrote in this same thread that even HDFC’s 3rd party physical verification person humiliated me by asking me why did I apply for the card in this lockdown period & he had to come to verify which he did not want to…
Anyways, doesn’t matter how hard we may try in our lives, we can never make everyone happy & there will always be someone who is not happy…
It’s easy to humiliate others but it’s way more difficult to give respect & love others… : )
I wish other banks would also provide such high-end cards as LTF…Yeh Dil Mange More… 
Except APay, all ICICI cards are crap even though their customer support & banking services are top-notch…
Unrelated but after Govt banned the Aliexpress app, Aliexpress also stopped shipping anything to India…Needed to import some necessary parts for laptop which are not available anywhere except Aliexpress…

I got just the card & if you read all the comments in this thread, you will see that people who applied on their own site where it’s clearly written that we will get the GC but no-one got that 1k Amazon GC…It was a fake offer to lure customers to make more credit card customers…And I don’t want to chase them for the GC because I know that they aren’t going to honor that & will revert with some BS excuse…

Caution: I have received the gyftr code in SMS only. There is no email for that.

We had two outages, one in Nov 2018 and second one in Dec 2019. We have taken help of external expertise, understood what needs to be done further and have substantially implemented the inputs to strengthen our IT infrastructure and systems. Unexpectedly another incident happened on Nov 21,2020 and the primary reason for the same is the power outage in our Primary Data Centre. We are working on war footing to strengthen this area also now.
Some of our strategic digital initiatives to improve the front end digital experience, improve digital origination, straight through processing, next generation of mobile and internet banking, APIs based banking on the edge etc would now be readied and launched post the approval and clearance from regulator.

HDFC for now can no longer issue cards to the customers who DON’T ALREADY have an existing card with the bank…
HDFC however can still give the upgrades to their EXISTING credit card customers…
That is why the word NEW is there…They can continue serving the existing Credit card customers…But if you don’t already have a card with them, you can’t apply for a new/first card for the time being…
P.S. Some people in this thread are confused between new & existing customers so thought about clearing that… : )

I don’t think so. On the same page they have mentioned that annual fees is not there in first year. From 2nd year onwards, it is as per the card variant. Best thing is to confirm with their support once before upgrade.
