Its Not Completely FREE, You Have to Pay Refundable Security Amount Of According Plans
If we continue with the connection after 30 day trial, I think the amount (1500 modem only / 2500 modem + stb) is non-refundable.. Can anyone comment on this please?

I’m still confused if to take up this free trial offer… Did registration yesterday… Jio guy called 5 times till now saying to take it immediately as more demand is there… Fr sure he is lying… I’m thinking to take after 2-3 weeks though

Ans: That’s easy. You have to pay 1500 instead of 2500 as a security deposit.

Ans: That’s not easy. Higher speed packs come with complementary access to OTT packs. If you can get satisfied with 399/699+18%GST then you ll get pure internet but with lower bandwidth but which ll be okay for me.
I have jio since the preview offer, that time I had paid a security deposit of 4,500.
Can I get 2000 back? As now they are changing only 2,500 as security deposit.
Also, I haven’t still taken the setup box. Can we login with our own hotstar, sonyliv account and use it in the jio setup box if we are on lets say the 399 or 699 plan?

Friends, I booked Jio Fibre broadband on 4th September by paying 1500! That person told me that earlier we used to install the same day but now due to huge demand it may take 3-7 days for installation.
After few hours got msg that installation is scheduled for 4th September itself after a few hours. I was surprised after what that agent told me. No one showed up on 4th!
On 5th September morning I got msg that installation is scheduled for 6th Sep.
On 5th Sept Evening I got msg that your installation is taking more time and is scheduled for 8th Sep
Wonder what’s happening 
Useful Info: After searching Internet and asking few users who are using Fio Fibre, I got to know that they have 2 types of routers:
Black – Single Band of 2.4Ghz with wifi capping speed
White – Dual Band of 2.4 and 5gHZ with no capping speed.
So guys always force them to install the white color router only 
Can anyone confirm who took connection after 1st September which color router they got?

I booked some 5 days ago and each day the service personnel says it will be done today, it’s already been 4 days.
Jio Fiber might be good but their service definitely is not up to the mark.

Some who got black one said it only has only 2.4GHz, can you please confirm there is no speed capping of 40-50 Mbps while using Wifi? How much speed do you get using wifi?
So if I use the service for 3-4 months and in case I want to close.. Only 1500 will be refunded and I had to give back the router and all? Right? So 2500+1000 to invest and get back 1500?

I am having the black router, wifi speed is coming around 35 Mbps.
I am on 699 plan. Whether 100 Mbps speed is only for LAN?
Then no use in recharging with higher plan,if they don’t provide the promised speed on Wi-Fi.
Ask thm to chnge your ONT deivce that is router and give you dual band router blue colour one for free of cost..
Jio guy told me trial period ends on 30 Sept. If this is installed on 15th you get 15 days free and not 30.

I got it installed on the 6th Sept and the trial expiry date is 6th October in MyJio App.
They have started upgrading the speed of existing subscribers with ₹849 plan.
It’s not truely unlimited … Its 3.3 terabytes data … After consuming this threshold limit … No unlimited data further
Its almost unlimited coz 3300 GB is lot to consume

What if I take set-top box and continue with 399 plan.. Will I be able to watch hotstar.. I mean buy hotstar premium login and watch with subscription? Or min 999 recharge is required to watch anything?
Yes you can watch with 399 plan
I registered for Jio Fiber and promptly got a call from the installation team.
But I have been told that the Set-top box is only provided if I subscribe for Rs. 999 plan.
No set top box to be provided for the lower amount plans (even if we are ready to pay the security).
Has anyone else faced this issue?
I just got to know these from a friend:
- OTT platforms will only work on their settopbox, so no way that we can use them on our mobile/tablets etc..
- Prime Video only .. it won’t get you amazon prime service, so a for a prime user this is useless.
- @ 1.5k per month Netflix standard only (no 4k), you need to pay @ 2.5k per month to get 4K
A kind of FAQ would have been very helpful.
First two points wrong bro… Some otts will work on mobile also… Prime service also activated and all prime offers also available with that account.
Airtel paid for 799 plan for 3 months.. activated connection last week.. can i degrade to 499 plan now? Will my payment get adjusted and it will become paid for 4-5months?

What if I use for 6 months only? Can I get 2500 refund or only 1500?
After 6 Months, you will be charged ₹1000 installation fee which is deducted from ₹2500 & u will get 1500 back.But trust me, STB is useless. Just buy an android box of any other brand, if u don’t have smart tv.
Can anyone share ur experience in Cancelling this trial offer after 30days. As it is reaching 30days, I want to know procedure to cancel and ur experience. Don’t share previous experience with JIO. Share only the present 30 day trial offer cancellation experience.
Service and Support Depends on area wise, it is not same at all place,Also it depends on device you are using, In my case, my connection got activated in just 2hr after submitting interest on jio website and speed is 143 Mbps Download, 142 Mbps upload on mobile( iPhoneSE ) via Wifi on Trial Pack of 150Mbps, i haven’t tested on LAN
