Even if you buy whole spices. No one can give guarantee that it will not be having that chemical. Because that chemical is used In pesticides And almost all farmers in whole india use pesticides. So if you want to eat chemical free then grow your own spices otherwise you can't do anything .

i have been buying zoff kesarco and tata for more than a year they do taste somewhat different from other brands especially tata and kesarco are very good.
personally i prefer these 3 brands first then aashirvad and at last reliance have never bought mdh everest
