Those of you who are in Noida / Bangalore, what are your views? Assuming the Noida man had this thing since 20th Feb, he would have gone to a lot of crowded places in last 10 days and since incubation period is 15 days, we may not know who all locally caught this in last 10 days !

Seriously people should understand no amount of economic stimulus packages will help us get out this situation. Many economists have said screw the economy for now (doesn’t mean ignore but not to go ballistics), lets contain and tide over the infections first. Later build the economy as it was done before, else this keeps prolonging and all stimulus will be a big waste.
Whatever economic packages that has been announced is to keep markets remain calm. In India that won’t work because the packages will be piece meal.. RBI can not make big rate cuts and the Indian govt is hesitant to throw away the fiscal discipline because they know it will screw the economy more.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announces that from today midnight, all workplaces will remain closed till 31st March. This is applicable in Mumbai, MMR Region, Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and Nagpur. Govt offices to operate at 25% attendance, Maharashtra Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray has tweeted.
‘Essential services shall operate, any other services important to operate, the collectors shall specify from time to time. Groceries, milk and other day to day items shall be available. Citizens are req to reduce unnecessary movement. Let’s win this #WarAgainstVirus,’ he further tweeted.

Till last week everything appeared to be in control. Number of cases were in check , people carried on with their life . Looks like the situation has turned for worse in a span of just 5 days. Mumbai is locked down. Im stuck in Kerala. I was planning to drive to my workplace in Bangalore but got the news that both TN and KA borders are sealed. Taking public transport is a risky proposition at this stage.

COVID-19: ICMR revises testing strategy
The Indian Council of Medical Research revised its strategy to fight the spread of the new coronavirus on Saturday, saying all hospitalised patients with severe acute respiratory illness, shortness of breath and having fever and cough will now be tested for COVID-19 infection.
The new ICMR guidelines also said asymptomatic direct and high-risk contacts of a confirmed case should be tested once between day 5 and day 14 of coming in his/her contact.
The apex body for biomedical research revised its strategy in view of a spurt in coronavirus cases in the country this week. The new strategy aims to contain the spread of infection more effectively and to provide reliable diagnosis to all individuals meeting the inclusion criteria of COVID-19 testing.
Till now, all asymptomatic individuals who undertook international travel in the last 14 days and developed symptoms, all symptomatic contacts of laboratory-confirmed cases and all symptomatic health care workers were being tested for the infection as per the guidelines.

Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra jump to 63
The total number of coronavirus positive patients in Maharashtra has risen to 63 with 11 more positive cases reported in the last 24 hours, officials said.
Of the 11 new cases, 10 are in Mumbai and one in Pune, they said on Saturday.
Officials said seven patients were admitted to Kasturba hospital, one each at Saifee hospital, Nanavati hospital and HN Reliance hospitals in Mumbai
A coronavirus positive patient has been admitted to Naidu hospital in Pune, officials said.
Earlier this week, a Covid-19 patient died in Mumbai.
