Can anyone post their original build.prop file i edited mine with pimpmyrom and (sadly) didnt take backup ;( please someone..

Strangely Asphalt 8 is working for me with beats audio

Seems something went wrong in installation anyway to UNDO it??
maybe its me maybe the beta version acting weired.

God i repent not taking backup now will have to go through the process of flashing stock rom as no stable version with 4.4.

Hi, Has anyone tried OTG cable with this phone?
I am planning to buy, but when I checked using the app “Usb OTG Checker” its showing its not supported.
However, the spec says "USB host ", which I suppose, mean USB OTG..

I believe you have the zip file of your custom ROM. Just unzip it and you will have your build.prop inside

I have tried otg cable but it was not supporting.

It does not support OTG !!

Ok I did this also but this time I am getting the error message early…
Here are the steps I am following
1. After entering into twrp choose mount- check box system also-choose wipe- factory reset- format data – type yes for formating – advanced wipe – choose dalvik cache and cache – wipe – choose install – choose vanir zip and flash – failed

likewise what is it with this “Mount”? I have never written anything about mounting anything.

Data, cache and external sd will be mounted automatically.

I’ll put it simple . You try doing this. Restore your backup and see if you can get into your Stock Rom.

I believe you have a backup.

Likewise, when it comes to vanir rom that you have downloaded, Just check if the md5 checksum matches, in simple words, see if the data is corrupted. Try redownloading the rom and install it.

friends does any one knows how to fix the text wrap problem on the stock rom? Hindi text is not getting wrapped while viewing in Whatsapp or any other app (Facebook etc). I tried searching on net and found that its a problem with JellyBean rom that was fixed in subsequent versions but fix it not yet here for LG E970.

Hi..@ dittu Mounting of system is according to dr.nakum coz he has already tried vanir.
And yes I have restored the custom ROM..
I am geTting the same error after flashing from the file u suggested and error message is little fast to appear now…
Downloaded 4 times the ROM and don’t know how to check the cheksum but I believe that cannot be wrong for all the 4 times of downloding what do you say…

I have used freegee to install twrp
Is there any problem in twrp itself? Please suggest
Can change the recovery to cwm recovery now??
Will there be any problems if I change the type of recovery?

the issue at hand is that i installed pimpmyrom (beta) version and now after installing “Pimp my beats” via that now the system is facing random crashes, restarts adn asphalt 8 wont start.

1)My question is can i undo the changes(I did not take a backup i know stupid but can i)
2)If not, then is reverting to another rom/flashing the lg stock rom my best option??

(phone is rooted recovery was made the (twrp) day i got it,so would not have the installed apps as backup so i dont want to revert to that only if i could just undo all that pimpmyrom software did)

Like I posted above. Do NOT USE the TWRP that gets installed with FreeGee, Install the one I have posted above which is being used when KitKat Roms are installed.
Recovery can be changed to CWM, there is no issue in changing it .

Its purely a personal choice.

Undoing is possible but an Easier and simple solution would be to restore the stock ROM or custom Rom. Just clear all the data and cache, install a custom rom/stock rom. All problems should be solved.

Yes bro flashed the twrp zip file from the link u provided and then tried to install vanir zip but it was again no use….
Then I changed the recovery to cmw and tried to install the vanir but again the worst part…I could not install it and ended in failure…. Then what is next???
Come on guys I am really frustrated now!!! With the kind of battery…

I tried all 1,cyanogen stable rom v 4.3 2,cyanogen snapshot m3 v 4.4.2 3,cyanogen snapshot m4(98% near to stable) v4.4.2
Out of above snaoshot m4 is most stable & give good performance with good batterylife

Please comment do i need to install a custom recovery like cwm or twrp after rooting my phone but i won’t be using custom rom as i’m fine with the stock rom. I just rooted my phone to use some apps for rooted phone. Please clarify on the same sorry i’m a newbie.

No you don’t need to install a custom recovery as long as you are not planning to install a custom ROM !

Just a clarification for all those who are going to install Vanir ROM.

You have to flash the geeb zip file + GAPPs standard zip and this is the important part, you have to flash the kernel zip too (B17 zip). Without kernel flash, performance is horrible (antutu gives mere 4000 ). I installed only the ROM and GAPPS. So, searched the forum again and came to know that I had to install the custom kernel too. Stock kernel won’t give good performance. Installed new custom kernel from the original Vanir XDA thread and all was normal again. 21000 in antutu AFAIK, no need to do clean install everything again while installing new kernel. I just went to CWM recovery and just flashed it over existing Vanir ROM. Kernel is the lowest level of software which tells the hardware directly what to do. Like controlling CPU clock speeds, etc etc.

That aside, best part of Vanis ROM is, when rebooted, the running apps doesn’t show some 100’s of apps like in AT&T stock OS, its just 4-5 apps running!!! With nearly 1.4GB RAM free. Haven’t checked the battery back up though. There is also an inbuilt performance control app installed which can be used to throttle the CPU. Great options built in. Battery backup should be good as well.

my anututu gives stuoud 4000 with vanir.
