12km is too much to cycle. You must learn a gearless scooter which is easy. Then buy an Activa/Jupiter and get the license.

Age – 26 years.
Location of office is not suit me a metro
Bus is not stopping here in bus stand, waiting time is around an hour on bus stand (plus not safe in corona time)
Bike, i don’t have license and i haven’t learned yet, how to drive.

Stop taking free advice from inexperienced people.
12kms to and fro is not at all long. It’s very moderate distance.
If you are from a humid city, better your office has showers. Else you will stink and it’s not advisable to go by cycle.
Meanwhile order cycle and get riding experience with it. Couple of weeks later u can ride gearless scooty as well. Then u can use scooty during summer and cycle the rest of seasons.
6kms hardly take 25mins for me with moderate traffic.
Buy a hybrid cycle of maybe btwin, montra, firefox.”

Will you cycle 12km in summer? 4-5km on cycle is okay. 12km is too much.
Try to get LL and learn Scooty,
Please suggest a cycle for 4 year girl..
Suncross stratus good bicycle for 10-12 km
Better learn to ride a bike… than to invest in bike…and buy a bike
You cant learn to swim unless you step into water
12km is too much if u never cycled before.. That will lock ur muscle for sure..
But still u can buy.. Train ur muscle by cyclcing daily 3-4km and then increase the distance

for people saying 12 Km is a lot a day, it is not, i cycle 35-40 Km everyday, without being tired
however if u ride in India, you need to make sure your office has a shower, because you will sweat
if there are no slopes on your way, you can go for a simple bike without gears, you can have gears added later on too once you progress

Nice info
I cycle 20 Kms per day at once.. Not to office though
So it won’t be an issue for a 26 year guy.
It’s one of the best ideas you have thought of!
Gear cycle is best option riding more than 10km.
Check below cycle 6 Gear

Suggest a good cycle within 15k, it should have the set of features:
27.5t
Aluminium frame
21gear
brand should be a good one
ps, I have enquired near my home and there is kross, montra, roadeo cycles available idk which to choose
Anyone suggest a good one
cycling 10km is not the problem..but please understand and check the safety aspect..observe the road while you are travelling in the bus and asses how safe to ride. Also, do consider the times of cycling too..You should cycle when there is ample light for you to be visible to motorists. You should be more careful and extra cautious and make yourself visible than expecting other motorists to notice you. talk to someone already riding on that route in your office and take their guidance.
You can check yourself over the weekend or holidays with a rental bike. Just go to office and come back after a small break at the office and see if that’s doable..You will take 1-2 hours instead of taking 10hours during regular days.
Buy hero lectro
Look for alternate solutions..12 km is not short distance
Hi what is the purposr can you please elaborate than i will suggest you a perfect Cycle. I am a pro Cyclier.
At the age of 26, 12Km’s is easily doable unless you have been raised on Pizza’s, Burgers and smoking your lungs out !!
However, I would like you to think about the route you would be taking, traffic/safety and various other factors like arrieving ‘fresh’ at the office, how would you manage during summer and rainy season etc.
With all those checks and balances if you think a bicycle makes sense, do check out HERO LECTRO (e-cycle) series or invest in a non geared scooter.
Go go Hero electric cycle
6 km one side is a doable thing and depends onntrafic it may take up to 25 – 40 mins
Also it is a good life habit to keep you healthy.
Also you can think of electric cycle like hero lectro incase if you don’t want to pedal for a while
Also getting a bath while reaching office is advised as for sure you will be sweating and stinking
Search Google for autm 1.0 bike

I also want to buy, please suggest
last month just purchased “Roadmaster Hybrid2020edition” single speed cycle for my daily evening ride for 10km only
I bought a cycle in July month during lockdown for morning exercise. I bought a very basic , plain looking cycle “MILTON” exact copy of BTWIN basic (decathlon) just for ₹4000. And first 3 days I couldn’t ride more than 5-6km, but within a week now I ride 15-20km very easily. And I am 32, 85kg, 5’10". Lost 2 kg also.

Please suggest a cycle for home gym exercising within 10k range for a single user 80kgs weight.

A lot of MNC’s do…
India Bulls Centre in Mumbai – where a lot of major companies have their offices – do have showers/bathrooms..
Many companies have Gyms as well, so they do need showers – as after workouts people may like to comeback to work..
