Location of office is not suit me a metro
Bus is not stopping here in bus stand, waiting time is around an hour on bus stand (plus not safe in corona time)

“I’m a cyclist.
Stop taking free advice from inexperienced people.
12kms to and fro is not at all long. It’s very moderate distance.
If you are from a humid city, better your office has showers. Else you will stink and it’s not advisable to go by cycle.
Meanwhile order cycle and get riding experience with it. Couple of weeks later u can ride gearless scooty as well. Then u can use scooty during summer and cycle the rest of seasons.
6kms hardly take 25mins for me with moderate traffic.
Buy a hybrid cycle of maybe btwin, montra, firefox.”
If you live in Delhi go to jhandewal Market specific cycle market, last year me and my friend, negotiated ₹20k cycle to ₹12.5k.
and options are in 1000s there
Rent a cycle and check if you can travel that distance properly if you can then buy the cycle or look for electric scooter
12 km is too much. hope you got the better option.
Take a electric scooter . No need of license for that. U will easily be perfect in 3 or 4 days of driving. Cycle is not a good option
I go for a cycling daily. Had so much negativie suggestion not to start cycling, But I trusted my guts and started.
Trust me its amazing. I do 30kms daily on a mix of highway and busy road. Few things to consider first though
1 . Cycling is not cheap ( Padded shorts, quick dry t shirt, shoes, helmet, gloves ) you need to invest here apart from regular maintenance.
2. Its all about mental strength then physical ( Trust your guts , physical strength will improve as you ride)
3. Where you are riding (head wind , tail wind, slope , steep, condition of road ) if you are riding in full head wind with steep it will be really difficult in the beginning and eventually you will give up cycling
4.visit decathalon and give it a try(size and comfort matters)
5. If you know a friend working on TI cycle factory , you will get a huge discount up to 50% on Montra(consider shimano Altus and good disc brakes )
Finally , trust your guts its all about you, if you think you have it in you. Go for it blindly. Happy and safe cycling
Decathlon has good options. You can try. But check for safe keep at office.
close the topic metro is working and even dtc bus is also stopping at the bus stop so please delete the discussion
electric scooter is best Some doesnt need license also
Today i bought atlas cycle but just came to know dat its plant is closed
Hey guys, I have an old trek brand bicycle which I had purchased almost a decade ago for 15k…. now my parrots have eaten it’s seat lol and its gears and stuff are quite rusted… watching this thread made me consider repairing it. What would be the best course of action, repairing my trek cycle or getting a new one? Btw please don’t tell me to get a bike because I already have NS200 and considering buying Tata Tiago lol.
Suncross racer star, would cost 15k and is the best bicycle you can get.
It has thin tyres, and is much light weight.
The premium the bicycle, the lighter it is.
I am 29 and cycle everyday atleast 20km everyday. i initially started with 12km and built stamina in 4months. now i dont even break sweat. MOST important part about cycling is riding posture, shock absorbers and brakes.
Make sure you have cycle of right size. I am 5’10" and I ride a 29" frame
if roads are shit or have too many speed breakers, its best to have goos shock absorbers.
Lastly, this is very important, Have disc brakes; front and rear. Everyone drives and walks like idiots, disc brakes are extremely important.
If you are on Budget, Hercules Reloaded is excellent starter cycle. (Front shocks are very stiff)
I ride Cosmic 29" Its an amazing bike with easily removable tyres. I can fit that cycle in my tata nano after removing tyres. Cant do that with Hercules or any starter bikes
Which is hercules reloaded,? I am 6 2 and looking for a cycle
A lot depends on road, route and traffic. If it is safe u can opt for it else think otherwise.
Also cycle is not comfortable in rain or extream heat.
12km is not more, but before buying just barrow someone cycle for few days and see, if you feel it’s possible then buy it, most of the people buy in josh but later they keep it aside or sell for very cheap price
My weight is 107 kg plz suggest me strong cycle which can carry my load without any trouble or maintaince
Hero has a battery operated bicycle you can use that
Yaa my friend took this very useful and good one
Btwin riverside 100
bicycle
At your place if YULU services are present then use that for your source to destination
I want bycle deals
Can anyone please share a nice brand and model for the daily exercise of 10kms
Wanna start with a basic one i.e, Btwin mybike
just needed a body, a good seat, two wheels, normal breaks,non-gear and a mudguard.
any inputs will be helpful
Budget : 5k – 6.5k
get ninety one non geared cycle…. 29 er preferably.
Can anyone tell me whether this is a good choice for an upgrade? Getting a used one for 8k. I am sceptical about the frame and especially rim/tyres. Size is correct. Planning on using it for riding 20kms daily on good roads. Have an MTB,(Atom 6 gears). Hybrid for reduced weight.Purpose is to improve health. (Got covid couple of months back).
For 20 km on plain roads it’s better to get one without any gear. Look for 29er MTB. Roadies are good for typical indian road condition MTB is a better choice.
Buy Hero lectro C5 / C6 ebike for 24k on easy emi.. you will be amazed with it..
https://www.outdoors9...m/
Go with an alloy framed geared bike. Non geared ones will get boring real quick. Get the proper size according to your height. Do not ever compromise on the proper frame size.
U can buy hero lectro an electric cycle in this u can enjoy ride through electric & u can pedal too….
Best option in budget also 24000 approx
I lost the track here .. can you please tell which one you are talking about ?
It was my bad experience with thin tyre cycle I fall down while cycling and broke my ankle .after few day while my husband was cycling he also fall down and his forehead was badly damaged
Buy electric scooter or
I saw hero electric cycle with 25km range for 20,000 approx on Flipkart
