English TV series 1 season in hd itself use 27-30GB. So if I download 5-6 seasons in a month= 180GB. Rest in movies and games.

Duh! Seems the whole world when gets internet, starts downloading US TV Series and Movies. I guess (am sure) 90% of the downloaded content on torrent networks are videos as such.

Well,
for a user like you who does and watches such massive downloading of US-TV series and other content, a simple sentence like this is not understandable by you? This really comes to me as a surprise.
Still : I meant, when people have access to such high speed data, the first thing mostly everyone does is download American TV Series and Movies.
Sony, Videocon and Sansui are added under Jio Preview.
Internal source. Handset list will be updated soon on jio.com

Seems like you haven’t started using x265 (HEVC) encodes yet. You can get the full season of a TV show in 1080p, high bitrate quality for 1/4th the size of usual x264 encodes. Might not mean much nowadays since JIO is giving truly unlimited internet. But I like to play my part in reducing wastage (each bit transferred over the internet has an electricity/environmental cost associated with it) and get better quality at the same time.
Will someone tell me which is the best value-for-money 4G smartphone which has a very good battery (because that will be needed most after we become addicted to high speeds). Please don’t suggest chinese mobile cos. Taiwan/Japan based cos are fine. e.g. Panasonic etc.
Guys..basic question: Will jio4g sim will work on windows based 4g phones like Lumia? Because windows doesn’t have jio apps, will it work without these apps?
Might be answered some where in the thread but it became very huge to read all comments.

There are audio sync issues and severe lag
Also, some PC players also struggle sometimes

Can’t speak for old mobile phones. But with the latest VLC player on PC, there is no struggle.

I don’t use JIO for downloading. Unlimited internet at home (20mbps) and 100+ mbps at office. No need to crap jio.
That’s my total jio usage so far
X264 doesn’t play well with my tv. Audio issues or frame skips. I don’t mind using more bandwidth to watch content in peace.
My jio sim is activated today.
I got the sim by showing code generated from Lenovo and the sim is now inserted in the same phone.
Can anyone help me how to convert 2GB limit into unlimited data

nope, imei must be same
When I went to a Reliance Digital on Monday, bar codes were not being checked. It really was an open to all thing. But I saw at least one person, out of the 3-4 there, who voluntarily showed a bar code on his Samsung phone to get the SIM.
Not sure how things are being done now. But if they give you a SIM for a Motorola phone (not in the official list), I am pretty sure they won’t ask for a bar code.
