OTP login (Mobile SMS) but Simpl allows multiple active sessions.
May be someone had access to your phone, logged in (+ deleted SMS). Got the entire question paper ready and attempted everything in 30min!
The question is why aren't they improving their app security

Don't understand why they do not still have transaction limit setting, and also unlink all merchants option on app
It seems, their app itself got compromised (any setting can be easily changed). Hardly any offers these days.. better to at least get the accounts de-activated (got two here w/ 12k and 23k limits)

Got at least 10 calls from this number - 98494 87079 saying that I requested a number change on my simpl account and it was an automated call, and they were trying to impersonate that they are from simpl. The call said that "you requested a number change, if you want the number to change please disconnect the call, if you did not do the request please share the 4 digit otp, when I chose the latter, I pressed 1, I got the 4 digit otp" and from history we have always learnt not to share the otp. so I disconnected the call, it was very smart of them. but they kept pestering me every 2 mins with the same thing
I was expecting such thread when I received similar IVR based calls last week claiming that we have received request for account modification/ your account logged on from another device. The interface looked so convincing, I expected 20-30% people to fall in this trap.
However I still cannot believe that transactions have happened without actually sharing the OTP in the IVR. Getting access to somebody's OTP by hacking the mobile handset is not an easy task.
Since the present fraudsters are attempting this fraud on a mass scale by using automated IVR calls and attempted Simpl transactions, it is extremely unlikely that they would have hacked anyone's mobile for the fraud.
Since most of the transactions are Electricity bill payment related, customer account number shall be visible in your Simpl account.
I would suggest you to email to the customer care of each Electricity board, requesting to share address and regd mobile number of the Owner, to assist the police in investigating the fraud. Any refusal on your part to share the details shall be deemed to be assisting the fraudsters. Better send a cybercell online FIR along with the email.

@Deals_Cracker even if you shared the OTP in IVR, don't disclose to Simpl or anyother investigating agency. Maintain on record that you haven't shared any OTP, so that your case remains strong
Hello i recieved a call from simpl pay customercare she was saying that they will investigate and can reverse the transaction. Can this be possible as most transaction were from bharatbillpay

It is definitely Simpl account hacking in an organized and automated manner, fully through IVR calls.
However role of specific merchants in this fraud cannot be ruled out. All Indane LPG bookings have taken place for a single dealer only M/s KATWA BALAJI INDANE, PURBA BARDHAMAN, West Bengal. However Electricity bill payments are spread countrywide in Torrent power in Surat Gujarat, MSEDCL Maharashtra, BEST Mumbai, Punjab State Power corp

I would rather use my debit card, netbanking and good ol' cash on delivery.
Simpl is not a new thing. Financial products required due diligence. For someone's bad experience others should not stop using them.
It always made me uncomfortable how we can do transaction on simp without otp /cvv /pin etc
Thank god i deleted my simpl account 10 days ago but they don't delete accounts just deactivate it. They also don't provide noc just mail mentioning we have received your payment.

Guys if your usage is less you can request and reduce the credit limit I have reduced 25k to 2k my simpl limit by requesting cs Team
I hardly use this app for bb instant and magicpin purchase 2k was sufficient to avoid risk it's better we reduce the limit as they don't have option to set the transaction limit
