Well this doctor does not use any toothpaste (1:57) at least that’s what he claims. And when a doctor claims to use nothing on a public platform then I generally give the doctor’s opinion a bit more weight. 🙂

Relative Dentin Abrasivity (RDA) is the risk of the daily regimen of toothpaste to your teeth.

The American Dental Association (ADA) and friends determined that, ideally, the RDA of a toothpaste should be 70 or below. Outside of brushing with plain water, the next lowest RDA value of 7 came in as, surprisingly, plain baking soda. Take a closer look at this chart, which is compiled from 24 sources, independent research and manufacturer data. Are you experiencing different levels of sensitivity with your toothpaste selection? Switching to a less abrasive choice may be your answer! Source: https://www.familydentisttree.com/abrasive-toot...

My dentist recommends me Stolin – R toothpaste. I really don’t know its RDA rating. She also recommends me a soft bristled brush and interdental brush.

Toothpaste is just a lubricant with abrasive doesn’t do anything to tooth it’s the brush that removes plaque invest in good electric brush and brush twice daily .topical fluoride hardens the tooth and arrests cavities a little bit and it’s the only good thing about branded tooth pastes compared to herbal products.even if you don’t use a paste it’s still fine and you will probably know better if you have done a good job without the mint masking the bad odour
