HACKER1011 wrote:Just choose a laptop that is more practical for you. Laptops like Victus and Pavilion are good for gaming, true; but are they good for gaming only? Nope; they are some powerful laptops that you can use for other tasks as well that demand high performance.
Thanks ❤️ but now this got me confused , whether to go with this type of laptop or like victus/pavilion type. As I am from AI&DS Engg department.
The laptop that I just mentioned is something entirely different than the others. It is quite powerful (not as much as those gaming laptops maybe) and has that screen pad that would have its own uses and would make the laptop stand out.
So it comes down to your requirement: All power/extreme performance or Decent performance + something unique.
Since you mentioned your background, it would be better for you to select one device based on what you need. A commerce student like me may not be the best person to suggest what to use if you're from AI & DS department.
I hope it helps.

I ll tell you the requirements. 16gb ram, min 11th gen i5th gen, a discrete graphics card, 100%srgb laptop. A gaming laptop will be a better choice. But if the application ll be less demanding then you can take one of those OLED panel fitted Asus ones. 🙂

I tried searching for laptops just the way you suggested and couldn't find any. You either get lower storage, 10th Gen i3, or you may have to pay extra (35K at least).
So I'd suggest you pick one of the three laptops that I've listed here under Rs 30,000. These laptops do demand some compromise too, but they are more value for money. Also, I'd recommend the Realme Book i3 that is given in the list. It matches almost all of your requirements and also has a 2K resolution display.
Feel free to ask any other questions that you may have.

HP is here. Dos model. ryzen 3. For Ryzen 5 you need to shell out more money. Costs you 27.9k without discount. So, it's a decent deal.
bikidas2060 wrote:@mas143forever Doc Bhai, check this out. 27.9k. From HP. Dos model. But it should do your job okay. 🙂🙂

HP one looks good, but the lappy is for someone who isn't very well versed with tech. Installing and maintaining (pirated) Windows will be a task for him. So, a laptop with default Windows is preferable. Would have been a nice deal if it was for myself, though my previous HP had recurrent issues with its hinge breaking. So I have been avoiding HP since then.
The Acer Extensa with 4+256 combo was available for 24999 + card discounts. While the 8+256 was listed for 29999 + card discounts (5k difference only for 4 GB extra RAM). Thats why I had initially ordered the Acer 4+256 version itself. But later after suggestions from @getready and @guest_999, canceled the Acer one and went ahead with Asus Vivobook for the 8+512 model. i3 10th gen would be enough for the required purpose, and 8+512 (for just 2.5k extra) would ensure no modifications and upgradations are required.
@guest_999 - any link or something how to avail the Asus 2 year extended warranty for 999 ?
@getready - canceled acer and went ahead with the vivobook. since it was for someone not so techy, 8+512 is a better combo.

https://www.asuspromo.in/registration/...em
@mas143forever start the process of registering warranty on asus site after confirming everything is fine with laptop because someone on amazon/fk posted review that his laptop had some issue so he had to raise a replace/return request but he had already bought the extended warranty from asuspromo website which was non-refundable.
