Googlebook laptop price in India: The Googlebook laptop price in India is expected to be priced between ₹50,000 to ₹80,000 range. Google already has Chromebooks to target the entry-budget segment. Alexander Kuscher, the senior director at Google has mentioned that Googlebooks will sit at the premium end of the laptop market.
Googlebook specifications: There’s no official announcement on the Googlebook laptop specifications and hardware. However, Google has confirmed support for both ARM and x86 chips, deep Gemini integration (Magic Pointer, AI widgets), Android-based adaptive desktop apps, Android phone continuity, and a premium design with the signature Glowbar.
Googlebook buying options (where to buy): Googlebooks will be sold via partner brands like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo through their official stores and major online/offline retail channels like Amazon, Flipkart, Croma and Reliance Digital once Googlebook laptops are launched.

Exactly 15 years ago, Google launched its first Chromebook, the Samsung Series 5 and the Acer AC700. Prior to these, Google released a prototype device known as the Cr-48 in December 2010 to testers and developers.
Fast forward after 15 years, Google is all set to launch its AI-powered laptop, Googlebook. Speaking of the launch date, Googlebook will launch globally in the fall of 2026, likely around September to November. Google has been consistently launching a new Pixel device in August for the last 2 years and September & November usually sees the year’s biggest shopping season around the world. Thus, it’s likely that the Googlebook laptop will launch in Sept to Nov, 2026.

Googlebook Laptop price is not yet officially confirmed by the company. However, as per rumours and reports, Googlebook price might range between ₹50,000 to ₹80,000. This also feels likely due to the fact that Chromebooks are already selling in the entry-level budget segment (between ₹15,000 to ₹35000). Alexander Kuscher, the senior director at Google has also mentioned that Googlebooks will sit at the premium end of the laptop market. Moreover, some of the Googlebook models could use ARM-based chips (like Snapdragon/MediaTek) while others will use traditional x86 laptop CPUs from Intel. So, even though the Googlebook will be Android OS-based, it’s not restricted to smartphone chips like the JioBook Laptop is. And, that leaves room for OEMs to build better performance laptops which further hints towards a premium price.
