Just when Airtel Rolled Out the List of Airtel 5G Plus Compatible Smartphones, all iPhone users started questioning the fact that their iPhones are not 5G ready out of the box. Even the Newly Launched iPhone 14 Series needs an OTA update to run 5G. Thus, Apple has relieved their iPhone users by announcing that all iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and even the iPhone SE 3 will get an OTA update in December that will make them compatible with 5G networks in India.

In a statement given by Apple recently, the brand plans on making its most recent iPhones 5G compatible by December. The models that will get a 5G upgrade are the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 series, and iPhone SE 3.
With the start of October 2022, we saw how Reliance Jio and Airtel launched their 5G networks in various cities. Major Android smartphone brands like Samsung and Realme have already started rolling out updates for their 5G devices to run the latest network. Though, the brand that is said to be 2-3 levels ahead of the competition, Apple, didn’t even have a single iPhone that was 5G ready out of the box in India.

Thus after receiving requests from various users, Apple stated “We are working with our carrier partners in India to bring the best 5G experience to iPhone users as soon as network validation and testing for quality and performance is completed”, the brand further added, “5G will be enabled via a software update and will start rolling out to iPhone users in December”.
Given these statements by Apple, all users of the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 lineups, and the iPhone SE 3 in India will be able to use 5G by December.
