While we were expecting the iPhone 16 in Big Billion Days 2026 to get listed between 60K to 65K price, the same isn’t happening. Thanks to the recent Apple price hike in India. Many shoppers were counting on the Amazon AGIF sale to make the iPhone 16 more affordable. But with the price starting at ₹71,999, is the discount really worth it? Infact, the iPhone 16 was available for under ₹65,000 just 1 month ago on Amazon. So why would Amazon price the iPhone 16 at Rs.71,999 for its upcoming biggest sale of the year? The recent Apple price hike could be one of the strongest reasons. More on that later but for now, let’s take a closer look at the Great Indian Festival iPhone 16 offer.

As per the iPhone 16 AGIF Sale banner, the price of Rs.71,999 is inclusive of all offers.* So don’t get your hopes high for any additional coupon discount or bank offer🙄. Though, Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card holders might still get lucky with some extra cashback.

Amazon Great Indian Festival is yet to share a complete price breakup or offer details of the Apple iPhone 16 deal in AGIF 2026. However, Amazon has confirmed that the price Rs.71,999 is inclusive of all offers. Exchange discount is likely to be excluded. If we visit the Amazon Mobiles Exchange store, we can see Amazon offering an extra ₹3000 exchange discount on iPhone 16.

At ₹71,999, the iPhone 16 doesn’t look like a particularly exciting AGIF deal, especially when you consider that it was selling below ₹65,000 on Amazon just a month ago. The bigger problem is the iPhone 17 starting at ₹77,999 in the Flipkart BBD Sale, which puts a much newer phone only ₹6,000 away. For that extra amount, you get a 120Hz ProMotion display, 256GB storage, a newer A19 chip, better cameras and longer battery life. The iPhone 16 still makes sense if you can bring its price down significantly through exchange or cashback, or if you simply prefer the smaller 6.1 inch size. But at ₹71,999, we’d wait for a better iPhone 16 deal rather than rushing to buy it during AGIF.
