Reliance Jio, the famous 5G telecom network recently launched two new plans, Rs.349 and Rs.899. Both of these new Jio recharge plans come with the same data benefits of 2.5 GB data per day. However, the Rs.349 plan comes with a 30-days validity period and the Rs.899 plan comes with a 90 days validity period. Recently, Jio also launched its much anticipated Jio 5G recharge plan.

Can you guess how much a 3G connectivity, 3GB data with 30 days validity plan used to cost back in 2012? approx ₹ 650. Yes, you read that right and the crazy part is, it does not even use to be 4G or 5G but 3G. It's safe to say, we are currently living in much better times. Reliance Jio also recently launched Jio True 5G in India and the telecom brand has once again come up with 2 new Jio recharge plans, Rs.349 and Rs.899. Below are the full details of it.
Plan Validity: 30 Days
Data Benefits: 2.5 GB per day
OTT benefits: Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Cloud, & Jio Security
Plan Validity: 90 Days
Data Benefits: 2.5 GB per day
OTT benefits: Jio TV, Jio Cinema, Jio Cloud, & Jio Security
Airtel also offers similarly priced plans, Rs.399 and Rs.999. The data benefits are the same. However, while Jio offers you a 90 days validity period on the 899 plan, Airtel provides you an 84 days validity. One more important thing to note is that only Airtel offers a complimentary Disney+ Hotstar subscription on both of these plans as well as Amazon Prime membership benefits for the Airtel 999 plan.
In the previous year, ever since the talks of Jio coming up with its True 5G connectivity has begun, users were expecting to see at least some conventional tariff hikes. Luckily, we haven’t got to see much of those from most major telecom operators. What we did see in the last year is the telecom operators bringing more new plans by discarding certain old ones and focusing more on bringing their 5G services to India. Airtel and Jio even removed Disney+ Hotstar OTT subscriptions from many of their recharge plans. Least to say, the last year has been a happening one for the telecom sector in India. What do you think of this? Do you see tariff hikes coming up soon?
