Google Gemini Intelligence recently got announced and awaited users are wanting to know if their device is compatible with Google Gemini Intelligence or not. While Google hasn’t released an official list of Gemini Intelligence supported smartphones, the company has specified certain specification requirements such as Android 17+, minimum 12GB of RAM and others that has helped us jot down a list of supported smartphones for Gemini Intelligence.
Gemini Intelligence announced on May 12, 2026 is a multi-step AI automation system that understands context across apps, screens, images, and voice to complete tasks on your behalf.

Gemini Intelligence features will roll out in phases starting with the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones this summer, and will become available across Android devices including Android watch, car, glasses and laptops later this year.
Google has confirmed that Samsung Galaxy devices and Google Pixel phones will be the first to receive Gemini Intelligence update. However based on the specifications requirements shared by Google on their official page, here are some of the currently known, supported devices for Gemini Intelligence:

Open Settings >> About phone >> check Android version and confirm the device is on Android 17 or eligible for the Android 17 update
Go to your phone Settings >> About phone >> RAM (or Developer options > Memory) and check for 12GB RAM or more
In Settings >> visit About phone >> check Processor / Chipset and confirm it’s a flagship-grade SoC (Snapdragon 8 series, Dimensity 9 series, Tensor G series or equivalent)
Visit Settings >> Security & privacy >> Updates and check if the brand promises 5 OS updates and 6 years of security updates
Open Settings >> System >> Developer options and see if Virtualization (AVF / pKVM) is supported (this is mostly present on newer flagship devices)
Check the brand’s official update policy page to confirm the device qualifies for long-term platform support in 2026+
Ensure the device supports advanced on-device AI / AI Core / NPU acceleration mentioned in the specs sheet of the phone

Gemini Intelligence features are only available on Android devices with the most advanced capabilities and spec requirements:

(3) 12GB+ RAM
(4) Qualified SOC (flagship chip)

(8) Security: 6 yrs, quarterly
