I got it in rs.23000 (including 1.5ton AC, Stabilizer and Installation)

It has cooling capacity of 4800 and Power Consumption of 1810 watts/Hr.

So, guys how is the AC, Brand and the price!!! Please rate and provide ur views

Croma 1.5ton 2star ac with free stabilizer and free installation was available in rs. 24500…

Don’t Buy Croma Otherwise Your Future Will Be In Coma

Arre kahin us AC ki baat to nahi kar rahe, jis ki ad mein Aamir Khan aata hai? https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

It’s just a marketing gimmick.
Power consumption of all ≤ 1.5T ACs is similar to that of a hair dryer.

Hair dryers consume a lot of power.

It’s just psychological… not true…
Hair dryers → small in size → do not consume much power.

Also, we always feel appliances like ACs, storage water heaters, refrigerators, room heaters, etc., consume a lot of power and cost a lot to run. Hair dryers are not in this list. The reason for this is not because hair dryers do not consume much power… their power consumption is similar to that of ACs, room heaters, etc… the reason is, appliances like ACs, room heaters, etc. are always on/used regularly for several hours. Hair dryers, on the other hand are not used regularly, and when they are, they are not used for more than a couple of minutes.

That being said, this particular Godrej AC (GSC 18F G7BLG) does consume slightly less power than similar (1.5T, 5 star split) ACs from other brands, but there is a catch. I was going through the technical specifications of various 1.5T, 5 star split ACs and I saw that the average cooling capacity of ACs of different brands is approximately 5,200 W. The cooling capacity of this Godrej AC is 4,900 W.
https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

EDIT-

EER= Cooling Capacity / Power Consumption

Godrej GSC 18F G7BLG

Cooling capacity= 4,900 Watt
Power consumption= 1,325 Watt

So, EER of this AC= 4,900/1,325= 3.7
(Minimum EER for 5 star rating is 3.1)

Average EER of 1.5T, 5 star rated split ACs from various brands is 3.3/3.4

So yes, this AC from Godrej is more energy efficient than ACs from competing brands .

First of all, congrats on your purchase! https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Here’s my feedback…

1. Brand (Lloyd) – Ordinary… but you won’t get a Carrier/Hitachi/General at that price

2. Price (23K including stabilizer and installation) – IMO, slightly expensive

also Croma AC same 1.5ton 2 star was available in rs.24500….(only difference croma 2years warranty)…

but got LLoyd in rs.23000 So is not LLoyd much better brand and reputation than Croma?

Bro, I’m not talking about Lloyd…

You could have bought a 1.5T, 2 star window AC from any other brand like Godrej/Onida/Haier @ less than Rs. 20,000.

Anyway, since you have already purchased it, there is no point in thinking much.

Once again, congrats on your purchase! https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Thanks!!

Actually Haier was available in rs.19990 with free stabilizer and free installation with same 1.5ton and 2 star…
but its power consumption was 1950…

and also dealer told that if u want cheap then go with haier and if u want good product at good price then go for LLyod.

and so this became my first ever product which i bought without any research offline/online. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Samsung is just an ordinary brand when it comes to ACs.

These are the words of a wholesaler who has been selling HVAC parts for the past 20 years…

“LG aur Samsung ka AC to hum apne dushman ko bhi nahi recommend karte” https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_eek.gif

I am not saying bad… I am just saying it’s a ‘regular’ brand. LG and Samsung are market leaders in AC/refrigerator/washing machine segment, in India. The reason for this is brand awareness (through advertising), strong distribution network, well established after sales service network, etc. Quality wise they are just average.

In terms of quality, ACs from LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Voltas, Godrej, Haier, Lloyd, etc. are almost the same. Buy whichever is cheaper… just ensure that the company provides proper after sales service in your area.

Reconnect is Reliance Digital’s private label.

I don’t have any idea about the quality of their products/after sales service, but I will suggest you not to buy it because in India, general consensus is; private label= inferior quality.
